The Silver Dollar is a great bar to start out your evening escapade of binge drinking or a good place to sit and enjoy a drink and eat while watching a game on one of their many tvs. It also can become a must for that late night food craving after an evening of %&$#! or near by bar hopping, as it is one of only a few limited places to get any food for a reasonable amount of money late into the night.…

The worst service in Portland. I've drank all over this town, including Dante's... I didn't think service could get any worse. Then I experienced the staff at Silver Dollar. Literally the worst service I've experienced in any bar, anywhere in the U.S. If you don't mind a low rent hole where you wait 1/2 an hour for the chance at getting a drink, this is your place. If you want to have a cocktail and enjoy yourself, look elsewhere.

Atmosphere? Smoke, homeless, and that lovely "hasn't been washed in decades" feel.

There are tons of great bars in Portland, including many within minutes of this mistake. Explore them, just don't err where I did.…
