THE ONLY PLACE TO GO!. I have been devoted to Slick for 2 years now, Curtis is the best hairstylist ever! I highly reccommend the salon and especially Curtis.

Great with Color. I have tried several colorists in Portland and never been quite happy...until I met David at Slick. He has been able to get my hair the right shade(s) of blonde time after time. In addition, the color grows out nicely which has saved me money in the long run. A happy client.

Extremely Happy!. Alica Speck at Slick really knows her stuff. A couple of years ago, I wanted a change in style that would look professional yet be low-maintence. Alica gave me the cut and look I wanted. Alica has been cutting and highlighting my hair ever since. I look forward to zipping over to Slick for my cuts. Alica and the whole crew at Slick are great. Me happy. You will be too!

Go see Claudette!. I don't consider my hair to be easy to work with, yet Claudette does it right every time. I would recommend her to anyone. She's cut my hair when I wore it long and cut my hair when I wear it short (it's short now).

It's to the point I go in and say, "Claudette, do whatever you like!" Especially with color. I've gone in with pictures as well and said, Make my hair like THIS! And I leave looking like a model (well, my hair at least :-)

Generally, I change my hairstyle frequently, but I go through phases where I like the same cut I had last time - and Claudette is excellent with both. Highly recommended.

Love it. Stacy is terrific. Color is her thing and she does it well and her cuts are great too. She takes into account your hairstyling needs & wants and your hair texture & condition and delivers something you can be proud of. She goes the extra mile. I'd definitely recommend her.

just slick. great place, great people and great hair. the only place i have ever gone that my hair looks great until the next time i visit. before finding slick, my hair would look nice for about a week and then be ready for a trim. stacy really knows what she's doing.

I love my hair!. In the two years since I moved to Portland from New York, I've had more than my share of unsatistactory to just plan bad haircuts. I had tried all the so called "top salons" and had just about resigned myself letting my hair grow and wearing ponytails when I stubbled upon Slick salon. Thanks to the recommendation of a beautifully coiffed aquaintance, I found myself in the capable hands of my stylist Claudette. I felt like she really listened to all my concerns and desires. I left the salon with gorgeous color and a sexy, sassy cut. It looked just as good when I styled it myself a few days later. No more ponytails for me!

Best Haircut Ever. I arrived 15 min. late for my appt., stressed, and expecting to get a little attitude with my cut. After all, this was a bustling little secret of a salon with a beautiful staff and an obviously discerning clientele; and, I was late. Instead of attitude, however, I was warmly greeted by name and offered a glass of wine as I was led to the chair. Within minutes my stylist, Wendy, had washed and rinsed my stress away. I was in a hurry when I sat down, but I hardly wanted to leave when she had finished styling my fresh cut. A perfect cut and a relaxing escape from a hectic day.

Gotta get waxed?. so, let me start by saying no one likes the actual process of getting waxed--alas, it is a necessary evil. thank heaven for alicia speck! not only does she have a fabulous chair-side manner, she makes excellent suggestions and is a perfectionist. she's personable and just an amazing aesthetician. i'm making my appointment for a cut and color very soon--this is how portland stylists SHOULD be rewarded...return business for excellent service. i'm so delighted to have found SLICK!

Heads Up. My experience at SLICK was exactly that. Greeted with a choice of beverages and a wealth of fabulous and oh so current magazines, I absorbed the atmosphere and hoped my stylist was running behind. I eventually left after getting exactly what I came for (a killer cut and conversation) and vowed to get my haircut sooner than my overdue usual. Deluxe!
