Tips for Boppin Bo's Malt Shop & Grill

October 12, 2012

Terrible low quality food. Ordered two separate items from the appetizer menu and both tasted like the cheapest convenience store food imaginable; Two appetizers and two sodas came to $25 after tax!

It was obvious that nothing was fresh but was just cheap frozen product heated up.

We did not even eat a quarter of what was on our plates but opted to just pay and leave and got something at a drive-through on the way home.

MAJOR disappointment!

Boppin Bo's......... If you want one of thier burgers nuke a frozen patty on a stale bun, then add fake cheese. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with swiss and it wasn't even real swiss lol. Old fashioned? Bwahahaha. The french fries are FRESH! Fresh out of the bag!......... and the milkshakes over sweetened Hersheys Syrup and cheap vanilla which is somehow foamy...... Oh and the Ketchup? Something you find at a cheap chinese restaurant. Bopping Bo's couldn't hit an authentic 50's diner with an atom bomb. They have missed the mark. I would rather eat a 7-11 Rat burger.

Nothing is fresh, nothing is homemade, I don't even think they offer malts...... 50's my katushy......the only thing from the 50's is the smell. So go to Boppin Bo's for a goold old fashioned RIP OFF! The good thing is that the only thing that sucks more than the food is the service, no no....it's the price!!

I've been to there a few times and never had anything but superior service. Staff is friendly, food is great, and their ice cream treats are well worth the trip.

Great burgers!!! We go there at least once a week. As for the service its a mom and pop kind of feel so its a lottle slower pace.

Bad service. Good burgers. Bad service!!! Ladies love to talk to each other 3 walked by my table when pop was empty even my so called server. never refilled.

I do like going to these places you don't need to tip. Great service don't mind leaving $5.00 tip. NOT going to tip for person showing up to work.

Yuck. We went to Boppin Bo's on Veteran's Day--they didn't accept Payback Book coupon because it was a holiday. OK, but the hamburger was cold. Then I went into the restroom--never seen such a dirty one EVER!

MMMMMM BURGERS. Finally tried it a while back as a take out order and I was pissed that I had taken so long to do so. Sometimes Fast Food burgers just don't cut it and shoot you spend just about the same amount of money at McDonalds anyways....why not get a real burger. I loved it and plan to go there for family gatherings in the future.

Never again!!. I had a problem with my order, instead of trying to correct it, they blamed it on ME!! I wasn't happy with the food the first time I went, but tried it again. That will be my last time!! The manager is horrible to deal with!!

Never had a Burger there I didn't like - Try The Duke with a fried-egg on top! Cute waitresses. Jukebox blasting out your favorites, red metal-flake vinyl upholstery, cute, bobby-socked pony-tailed waitresses. From Marilyn to Elvis and the 3 Stooges on the walls. Trivia questions on the table while you're waiting.

The food - from burgers to salads and fish & chips, and their mammoth desserts. A large variety of burgers from standard fare to the Duke (standard burger with bacon, fried-egg, cheese, you name it!) grilled to order. Typical fries are shoestring, but you can also order the larger Krinkle-fries (my favorites) though they're not on the menu, and they're all-you-can-eat.

Service - not the fastest, but the food is served hot and with a smile. Great for a date, or the family.

Candy and memorabilia for sale at the register.

Seems like a rip-off. They claim that a lot of the food is "homemade", but a lot of it is from a box with a few things added. They also wrote one of their own reviews. Altogether it is and okay place to eat occassionally if you like waiting and eventually dying of complications caused by obesity. Some of the staff are great and make the visit enjoyable, but others are not.
