What People Are Saying About Manzana Rotisserie Grill

In Short – Downtown Lake Oswego could be considered "bustling" since the 2003 opening of shopping and dining mecca Lake View Village, anchored by Manzana. Inside, Mission style meets corporate chain, making for cavernous and cozy dining while feeding folks en masse. The grill's the draw, with everything from ribs to artichokes. Entrees include barbecue beef back ribs that are slow-roasted, grilled and basted with a sumptuous honey-molasses sauce.
Nice Atmosphere, Average Service, Poor Food
by pdxJaxon
This restaurant is all show and no action. The location, the look and feel, the atmosphere, all suggest a great restaurant and great food.
The food is a huge let down.
I had the signature Santa fe chicken enchilada.
It consisted of corn tortillas piled on top of pinto beans and chicken. Most of the chicken was brown meat (that's fine actually) but that is it. The Meal was covered with 1/2 green sauce and 1/2 red sauce neither of which were good and combined were awful.
the only side dish was WHITE RICE (literally). No flavor at all. Just a little cilantro chopped and sprinkled on top. I had my wife taste it and she actually laughed and commented "It's Literally white rice".......
Her meal was the chopped turkey salad and she said it was "OK" and indicated that it reminded her of the salads at Olive Garden.
Any way.....the restaurant is 'Ok' but the food is well below average.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you're just heading down there for the nice environment and a few drinks.
- Pros: the location is beautiful and the restaurant is very cozy
- Cons: The Food is really quite poor
Great food, slow service

My wife and I love the food at Manzana. The rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes are no less than excellent, the salmon sandwiches are great and their chopped salad is fantastic on a hot, sunny day.
The only reason we rarely go to Manzana any more is the fact that 75% of the time we're there, the service is so slow that we have to speak to the manager. Even the manager forgot about us once. Ouch.
Again, excellent food. Nice interior design. But one shouldn't have to go through hoops to get service.
- Pros: rotisserie chicken, fish sandwiches, mashed potatoes
- Cons: occasionally very slow service
Great restaurant overall

The atmosphere at Manzana was upscale, comfortable and intimate feeling. The service was superb and they were very attentive to keeping drinks refilled and making sure we had everything we needed. During 4-6, they have a deal where you can get soup or salad, an entree, dessert and beverage. I had a caesar salad that had a good, flavorful dressing and lots of shaved parmesan cheese with fresh ground pepper. For the main entree I had their baby back ribs which were incredibly tender and the best I have ever had in Oregon (substituted mashed potatoes for the french fries). For dessert I had a traditional cheesecake which was pretty good.
I will definately be going back again and recommend it to others.
- Pros: First Seating (the deal between 4-6), good food, service, and ambience
- Cons: Can be expensive
