Mitch is a Magician. Mitch is a master with the blades. He can master almost any cut and always makes you the right color. He's concerned about quality and "spanking" the ugly out!! The Salon is comfortable and friendly and relaxing to be in. I've recommended a couple of friends here and they've all been happy. You can't go wrong!!

Great cuts, color, and fun place. Mitch and Randee are both really great. Mitch gave me the best cut and color, I've sent several friends to them already. He hears what you want, offers good suggestions. I'm bad at getting cuts in a timely manner and Mitch always gives me something that I can live with and let grow out. Randee is really sweet and does a great job as well. Good team. Highly recommend them as a great place to go!

BEST COLOR IN TOWN. Mitch and his team can't go wrong. Great relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel like you're getting your hair cut in your living room with friends. Highly recommend spending time letting him give you ideas.

THEY WILL RUIN YOUR HAIR. Turned my hair blue/orange, and cut completely not what i asked for. when the tried to fix it (by scrubbing my hair with chemicals) and the blue still would not come out, the owner came over to suggest that the problem was because there must have been a miscommunication! while she was scrubbing my hair. the rest of the time, he ignored me. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON-- you've been warned.

Jamison makes me look like a star!. Jamison has saved me once again!!! He is a god when it comes to hair styles and cuts. I absolutely love SPANK and their salon is so inviting and warm. Super location and great atmosphere. I'm so happy with my "Rihanna" look.....(no black eyes included), all jokes aside these guys at Spank know their @#&* and you will feel like a million bucks after your visit. This place is a keeper and I'd put Jamison in my pocket if he'd let me!

Haircut over style, gossip at no charge. I recently went to Spank for the second time for a style. Randy gave me a pretty good cut the first time, but when I returned again, I left with a haircut -- with little "style" -- that I could have gotten at any shop in town, without the scalp massage. In addition, both times I was there, I had to sit through gossip sessions by both male stylists. The first time, the intern sat in the chair next to me and went on and on about clients and Bishops, and blah blah blah. The second time, as he styled someone else's hair and I sat in the chair next to him with Randy, Mitch, the owner, went on and on about a client who had just called on the phone, what a pain she was and blah blah blah. The level of unprofessionalism startled me. I will not be returning.

super awesome hair salon!!. this hair studio is just great! I've been going there for a couple of years now. it is decorated beautifully and the staff is wonderful. i've had my hair done by Randy and Mitch and have been very pleased by the results. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you want something funky or conservative you just can't go wrong!

Great style, easy atmosphere. I get my hair cut and colored here because Randee gives me the style I want everytime. I've been blonde, auburn, and dark brown and Randee made it gorgeous everytime. The atmosphere is easy and relaxed just like Alberta St. Unlike another salon on the same street, you don't have to put up with hipster attitude and practiced apathy. Mitch and Randee take their profession serious and it shows. They listen and try to give you a haircut you want, not just a passing fad. It's always fun here. They are open late so I don't have to miss work even for a cut and color. Everytime I've been there is a diverse group of people and geniune conversation. You shoudl try Spank.

The Dreadlock Mama. I had so much fun and was extremely satisfied when I went to see Tracy at SPANK hair studio. If you have dreads and you want a break from trying to weave in all those lazy flyaway strands, Tracy's your girl! She uses a crochet, not a bunch of product. She had dreads for 6 years so she'll give you tips and just chit-chat with you. And her price is outstandingly du-able- it is by far the most inexpensive well-priced service for cleaning up locks that I have seen yet- (and I did my research before making the appt.) She actually takes into account that you will be sitting in her chair for a couple hours, so she makes herself fun and easy to hang with, while having a price that doesn't make you sweat each time the hour passes. So if you want dreads or if you want to clean them up - Please go see TRACY at SPANK she rocks- you won't find a better deal in town!

getting dreads for the first time. after months of soul searching, and with the support of my husband, i decided to get dreadlocks.

i called 5 different hair salons to find some one who knew how to do dreadlocks.

then i called spank.

tracy answered the phone right off the bat and was very friendly sounding. and when i asked about dreads she said that she was the one that did them. we talked about the dreads and i got some realy good info on the prossess and creation of dreads.

i set up an appointment for the next 2 days. the first day is a 3hr apointment, then next till it was done.

well its after day one and i can tell you that its going to look awsome, tracy deffently knows what she is doing, and she told me that she had actualy had dreads herself for 6yrs. and that she learned how to do them in thai land. and that made me feel realy at ease.

she was so efficiant that she was able to do half my head in the first apointment, and it looks neat. im sitting here at the keybord playing with them. they feel tight, yet soft, the stuff she put in the dreads was clay based insead of wax base. and it made the dreads feels realy nice and smell great and also looked realy even and well done.

if you want to get dreads and its your first time, go here. you wont be sorry.
