Coffee Plant

Great coffee....horrible service.... I started to go here when I moved thinking YAY support local and indie. Being from Seattle I know coffee and I know service well the coffee here is amazing ... i love it. Great taste and consistency.

Now to say that I have to say that the staff is so completely rude and look like something crawled up their butt and died. Just ordering a coffee seems to be the largest task you have ever had to ask.

I double heart with an arrow the coffee plant with a smiley. every morning i get coffee. i walk up to the counter, black coffee appears, money changes hands, no words are spoken. in this town is hard to get coffee with out it feeling like being at job interview. plus there are sh1t loads of beautifully sculpted bike messengers all day long. do they ever work?  View Less … View More

Incredible coffee and scones!. Having read the reviews about the grumpy barista, I just HAD to visit and see for myself. The latte was excellent. The food was a surprisingly delicious! The barista was running the machine and someone else was tending the register. I found them to be polite and even greeted me with a smile! I don't expect banter but I do expect them to be polite and that includes noticing when customers walk in the door. I am returning to Portland next week and will seek them out again. I highly recommend visiting this outstanding venue and avoid the chains! If on my next visit the barista is rude- then I will find another independent coffee house to visit.  View Less … View More
