Founded in 1851 in New York's East Village neighborhood, Kiehl's began as a typical apothecary, selling pharmaceutical products and medicinal remedies. Today, the company's products have a cult following, often mentioned as celebrity favorites in fashion and beauty magazines. Skin-care products include cleansers, serums, scrubs, moisturizers and pre- and post-shave facial treatments; for the body there are specialty bath items, sun protection and more. Shampoo, conditioners and styling products are available for the hair.

Great products and wonderful staff.... After having spent years in trial and error when it came to beauty products, I was so thankful when I was introduced to Kiehls by a friend. Now it's all I buy. I appreciate the fact that products are not tested on animals and that many of the ingredients are natural. The staff at the store on 23rd is always friendly and helpful, but never pushy about selling the products. The assistant managers, Candace and Brook, are incredibly knowlegeable. I LOVE the fact that they give you free samples to try the product before you buy. I will never stop buying from Kiehls!
