Vintage done right. "Run, don't walk" is right. I stumbled across Lounge Lizard only a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. The store is clean and uncluttered, the inventory is constantly changing and the staff are awesome. I'm in the process of furnishing a room so I've been in several times since my discovery and I've been consistently pleased with the store and everybody that I've encountered there. I had a problem with some lighting that I had purchased (my problem, not the lighting's problem) and they went out of their way to help me. On one trip, my husband coveted a desk, but frugally walked away (silly man). I called Christopher on the sly later that day and he slapped a "sold" sign on it just trusting me to come by and pay for and pick it up a few days later. There is nothing junky about this store and the prices are very reasonable for such nice authentic vintage pieces. I'm sure to be a loyal customer for years to come. Kudos for a business run right!

Saying "Sorry, It's already sold" isn't that hard.. I have always recommended people to Lounge Lizard. I adore Christopher and the setup of the store really makes it a cut above your average midcentury furniture shop. From the fabulous assortment of lamps that hang from the ceiling, to the easily accessible clean nature of the place, I usually can't stop raving. That said, today I went in searching for a great chair. I saw one that I thought might be what I was looking for, removed an ottoman from the top of it, and then swiftly someone walked up behind me, snatched the ottoman and set it right back into the spot then pointed at the "sold" sign which I simply hadn't seen. Honestly, a simple "Sorry, that's already sold" would have been sufficient. Instead, I'm turned off and feeling some of the new shop employees are just unpleasant.

More Fun than a Barrel of Monkeys!. I recently picked up a desk and some vintage stools at Lounge Lizard. The selection is varied and beautifully presented. These are really nice pieces, not damaged junk. Best of all the staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and quite witty! The prices, I felt, were very appropriate based on the condition of the pieces. Shopping here is a blast! Now I want to move to a bigger place so I can do it again!

Always Something New. Great selection of interesting pieces and a frequently changing inventory. It's easy to find something unique, functional, and affordable. The displays are often creative and inspire ideas. !Love it

Over priced!!!!. Okay, this place may have some cool items. I have got to say, it is WAY WAY over priced. The furniture is mostly not even cleaned up. I sat in a chair, it was covered in pet hair and dirty. The lanterns they have hanging in the shop are fantastic...but let's remember they are used and plentiful. They are going for upwards of $90? Come on! You can find the same great stuff around town for reasonable prices. Too bad Lounge Lizard, you shouldn't take advantage of the hipness and rip people!!!

retrotastic and smervice with a sile. Lounge Lizard is seriously one of the (if not the) best retro furniture / decor/ artifact shops in Portland. The inventory is constantly changing, affordable, and authentic awesome. The people are really cool too. Basically, treat yourself .... and go stop by.

WHAT A SHAG. Shag carpet everywhere. I thought my childhood was hip and now this place confirms it. The staff is so helpful. I told Christopher that I loved this brown entertainment center. Next thing I know he is driving it over to my place. I now have a complete living room- Thanks again, Dogs Dig It

Good stuff. This store is great! A lot of the furniture looks more expensive than what is being charged and the staff is extremely helpful. They'll even deliver! The only draw back is parking-though it is available right out front sometimes.
