Wow, I've been to a lot of comic stores, but this goes way beyond anything I have come to expect. The stock, layout and atmosphere is mindboggling. It's hard to write a review when you are struck speechless, but there you go..... I highly Highly Highly recommend going to this store weather your a comic fan or not. You deserve it.
Pros: everything
Cons: Everything wasn't free, I'm not sure why.

I started going to Cosmic Monkey Comics a few years ago and found that it's a great shop. They have a good selection of titles ranging from all publishers and back-issues galore. All back issues are alphabetized and only seperated by "general" and "childrens" which actually makes it very easy to find what you need. I often bring my 4 year old daughter in and she is able to either sit on the couch (another nice touch) or check out the kids comics which are conveniently no more than 5 feet off the ground for the very highest shelf! There are also interesting toys lining the walls and windows. The staff so far has seemed very kid-friendly and helpful. At times, the staff is a bit too helpful. I went in yesterday and while looking for a few specific back issues (I never asked for help) was treated to a monologue about little known comic storylines and what writer or inkers were doing for their latest endevors and why. While it only took me about 15 minutes to find all the titles I wanted and write my check, I spent over 30 minutes in the shop politely listening to things I really didn't care about. Again, the friendly clerk/co-owner was so nice and polite that I couldn't find the proper way to explain that I really didn't want to talk to him so I was left dropping subtle hints such as: "Yeah, that's why I don't pay attention to those stories anymore." Overall, the experience at CMC is wonderful! The staff is friendly and [overly] helpful. They'll attempt to hunt down back-issues for you and are good with kids. Prices are good and they do have sales a few times a year if you're on their mailing list. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you check out this shop, but carry a cell-phone and have somebody call you after 15 minutes in case you get roped into a Green Lantern vs. Green Arrow discussion.
Pros: Great selection, helpful and knowledgable staff. Very child friendly!
Cons: Very knowledgable staff and don't you forget it!
