What is Sameunderneath? Sameunderneath is people.

Sameunderneath was started by Ryan Christensen, a product of an interracial couple, who grew up in an culturally diverse setting. In 1999, Ryan was assigned a senior thesis of writing a new teaching curriculum for the Federal school system. A handful of hip-hop clothing lines had penetrated the market and Ryan was about to enter the real world. It wasn't until he developed his senior thesis, entitled, "Sameunderneath", that Ryan realized he was going about it all wrong. Kids had already stopped paying attention. They were more focused on what the latest rap or pop star was wearing and driving rather than what was going on around the world. Ryan then decided to use a pop culture medium to get his message out to them. Ryan doesn't see this as just another urban clothing line. He still sees this a chance to stand in front of a classroom.

For a relatively new company, Sameunderneath is making waves! I love their philosophy, style, and conscious-minded approach. If you've never seen their clothes, I'd highly recommend checking them out!

Pros: Fresh, enviro friendly, good designs

Cons: Limited selection so far
