Boycott Pizza Schmizza With all do respect guys Mr. Rick Brogan owner of Broadway store ,628 NW Broadway, Portland Or. 97232, did not paid his subcontractors when he relocated the store from 15th st to 6th ,more than $30,000.00 .I know all contractors which work there and after almost two months from finish the job there are not paid. already two subcontractors, painter and plumbing put lien on property and another three contractors in next few days all together more than $30,000.00 I think this company should not be in business and please stay away for people which not doing what they need to do. The painter is only income in household he can work only when is not raining because when is rain nobody paint and in the winter the guy stay home without job. Because is self employed he is not qualified for unemployment benefit and until spring he maybe lose his home .he is married and have two young kids.

I call all people to look very seriously and boycott this company until they pay all subcontractors.

Owner Rick Brogan of Pizza Schmizza Pub & Grub you did not paid his subcontractors for the work they perform,more than $30,000.00 for 628 NE Broadway,in Portland Rick did not paid the cabinets and the bar,Granite counter top,hood installation, epoxy on the floor,all painting on cabinets and walls,plans made for city to approve the job,all finish work,plumbing,refrigeration for walk in cooler. you guy are a shame for our community, all those contractors work hard and you refuse to pay them.

Awesome Place Great Food Great Staff....... This Place is Great!!!!! The food is great the staff is wonderful.... The have Six Big Screen Tv's with a Great Sports Package.......If your a Hockey Fan This Place is For You!!!!!They have Karaoke on Friday Nights!!!!!! Kevin C. Portland Oregon

A tasty slice of New York style pizza plus local color. The pizza here is pretty darn good. The crust is crispy, the sauce is tangy, and the toppings are tasty. This is a great place to grab a quick slice, on par with Hot Lips. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and efficient. We loved the decor, from the wall art to the glass-topped display tables (ours was filled with dozens of various Pez dispensers). The only slightly unnerving aspect of the meal was the homeless-looking guy with his pet corkscrew who kept stalking from a table over to the window and back, muttering inaudibly to himself. But it was cold out, so I figure the manager was letting him stay in there as long as he didn't bother people. It was a minor distraction, at worst. We'll definitely be back.

Get it now: One day Schmizza may become the next Dominoes.. I can't imagine what is not to like about Pizza Schmizza. Local, although butby way of local franchiser, the pizza is great (complaints of "corporate" be ye halted: that is the quality control that gives you confidence that your slice downtown, in the Pearl, or here on 21st are all equally as delicious).

The quirky, kitschy decor works and is unique to each location. We have to remember that this is a local franchise, but as encouraged by "headquarters," the look of the place is largely up to each franchise owner, so take each location as it's own. Franchise or not, it is a local business and they make a great pie.



I don't often venture outside of the standard cheese slice because I find that the sauce and crust can hold their own. The slices are big, a vague cousin to that "NY slice" aesthetic. Beers on tap and cheap cans are a plus.

And, come on, they've got just turned 21-year-olds slinging the dough by hand. How cool is that? In some other city, they'd just be thawing out the factory pressed crusts.

Pizza Schmizza, I love your pizza. When I have pizza-loving friends in town, you are one of the mandatory "see-why-I-love-this-city" stops.

Decent pizza and cheap beers! Cant beat that!!. I used to work for Pizza Schmizza. Although they dont pay their employees very well and are starting to become very corporate, I still go there. I wont work there because of the low pay and weird hours. They usually make you clock off when its slow. But the food is pretty good, the beer is pretty good, and they have a great atmosphere. This one particularly is the best of all. It has a pool table, thriller arcade game, 5 tap beers for only $1 with a slice or $2 reg price, and the owner is super cool! The downside is the lighting. For having all of the neon lights and cool decorations, it is way too bright in there. I wish they had dim lighting and lower ceilings to give off that homely feeling.

Breadsticks and video games. This place is near my apartment so we can walk here. If you had to drive, parking would be very difficult as it is on NW 23rd. Pizza by the slice or whole. Breadsticks come quickly. There are a few video games to keep you entertained as well. The tables are like shadow boxes with fun collectables inside and are fun to look at. Decent beer selection on tap or in can/bottle.

I love this place!!!!!. This is the best place if you want good pizza and a good atmosphere. I love Joel, he makes everyone feel awesome! It is great for everyone. They have wonderful pizza and cheap beer. You can relax with friends of any age here. Everyone should come and check out Pizza Schmizza on NW 21st between Everett and Flanders!
