In Short – Set in a subterranean corner spot with lots of light, diners are greeted by a spare, modern space highlighted by a gleaming open kitchen. Dark walls and a granite bar are set off by crisp white tablecloths. The Italian-inspired menu consists of smallish plates at reasonable prices for the sip-and-nibble crowd. Starters include thick-grilled bruschetta and grilled pizza topped with prosciutto and pesto. For entrees there's clams in a white-wine saffron broth.

Loved it!

This was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and we were seated right away. The food was excellent! One of the specials was Crab Ravioli and we could not get enough! It was SO good! The wine selection is very nice and you can have ANY wine by the glass. This is a great date spot for a nice quiet dinner in a great atmosphere.

- Cons: I cannot think of any

A Wowing Experience Everytime

I have gone to Vitis with groups or with just another couple, and am surprised everytime by the cusine and staff. The food is wonderful and at an even better price, the wine list is incredible, and the owner will even chat with your party. I loved this place so much that we planned our company Christmas party there! This place is a real "Portland Jem".
