My favorite member of the Lompoc empire, this cheerful yellow bungalow set back from busy Division has a marvelous patio, on which to enjoy the hummus platter and on Sundays, $3 Bloody Marys ALL DAY LONG.

Filling (if somewhat standard) pub fare accompanies a mouth-watering selection of handcrafted microbrews. Beautiful Craftsman-style home.
Great beer, tasty food, friendly and efficient service!. Just visited the Hedge House for lunch today. The atmosphere inside is very warm and inviting and the overall experience was near perfect. Enjoyed a Centennial IPA and had the Reuben for my meal. Both were great! The Reuben was one of the best in town and their IPA, while being perfectly balanced, is a hophead's dream. Lee Anna was my server and she was great! Timely, efficient, and very friendly. Thanks, I'll definitely be back!
Tuesday service. If you go, don't expect good service on a Tuesday night. They don't seem to be good at handling their crowds.
Better for lunch. At its best, hedge house is average - and the atmosphere in the house or outside at the picnic table can be very nice. The food is decent, but not memorable. When it's not busy, the service is also decent, but not great. on a busy evening though, the average service speed is glacial. If you're outside, chatting with friends, that may be fine, but if you didn't intend to spend hours aiting for dinner to arrive, then you might want to go elsewhere.
Bar disuised as a restruant.. We went in for dinner on a Sunday night. The service was good, but then the place was empty. The servings are undersized for the price point. My side of chili came cold. Everything needed salt. I don't think they cook with it at all. Overall I was very disappointed with the food. They have some nice beers on tap. So on a sunny afternoon a beer on the deck would be ok. But thats about it. I am not quite sure why people like the food here.
Great Menu. This is my first review but the service and food was so good at the hedge house that I had to sign up and write about it. I have always been a hamburger lover which I didn't find on the menu but the other options where refreshing and delicious. We sat outside on the deck next to the propane heaters, which did a great job at keeping everything nice and cozy. The server was courteous and friendly. You can find everything you need there for a fulfilling and relaxing dinner. I will definitely return there for another meal.
Too Crowded- slow service. I absolutely love the food and the beer at hedge house. However, the past few dining experiences have been unsavory and after talking with a few friends, seems to be a consistant thing. People really love the hedge house hence the crowd of people waiting to get a table and I'm talking on a Wednesday night....not even on their special tues. $2 brew night. It seems to be understaffed and always crowded. I showed up with a group of 4 and we proceeded to wait 1hour for a table- if they had told us that the wait was going to be that long i don't think we would've stayed. We won't be going back any time soon.
Fantastic East-side spot. Tuesdays get busy with the $2 pints, but every other night of the week you be can seated faster. They have a great deck, awesome food, and fantastic beer. I have always found the customer service to be great - maybe this depends of what type of customer you are...
Great little neighborhood spot.
Hedge House is my and my boyfriend's go-to spot for good beer and food.
The staff is friendly, the food is far better than most pub fare you'll find, and the beer is always good.
We try to avoid $2 Tuesdays, since it's next to impossible to find a place to sit, but the all-weekend Happy Hour makes it easy to spend a lazy afternoon out on the porch.
Wonderful little spot. I would like to delete my review but Citysearch will not let me so I am replacing my review with this.
underwhelming.... Went on a Tuesday, didn't know they were having a special on their beers. Wish I would have, cuz I wouldn't have gone. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours before getting ANY food. They seated us outside on a cold evening and then they turned off the heater. We asked them if they could turn it back on and we were told, "It needs to stay off, so get used to it." -customer service is obviously NOT something this place is known for. Too bad, looks like it's be nice in the summer - even though the food was hardly anything to leave the house for.
