Sheeple: Signs That You Might Be Part
Of The Herd
Hello All! Trust me, I've been going to Rumi Simone for MANY years. I left once, because I had a hair dresser that wouldn't stop pushing the formaldehyde infested "Brazillian Blowout" on my daughter and I. I left and then came back...BIG mistake. Here's why:
1. Scheduled my appointments wrong - showed up to find out I had no appt not once but several times! (silly me)
2. Paid for "senior" stylists and "color" specialists only to get tossed into a backup of clients and get the jr level stylists to finish up. Not once, but several times! (silly me again)
3. Daughter went for special "winter formal" hair style only to come home in tears because it fell out on way home. (heart break!)
4. Much more...but, here's the kicker I called and asked for the manager/owner to call me back - SHE NEVER DID!
Guess I'm just one of the many - part of the herd that doesn't count. Why pay really expensive prices for low grade service and to be treated like part of the herd?? (STUPID ME!)
Not only is the spa's atmosphere beautiful and calming, their staff is knowledgeable and gracious. I felt very comfortable and never pressured to purchase products. They have a fantastic selection of quality goods!
Spending an afternoon at Rumi Simone is a heavenly retreat away from kids, housework, stress....
be sure to allow for extra time to relax by the fire and destress before you enjoy your massage.
I have been several times and each and every masseuse has been fabulous. After you indulge in your massage, you can steam, relax by the fire again and then take a leisurely shower and get ready for a girls' night out or a date night! They supply everything and each time you come back, they have your robe and slippers waiting.
Rumi Simone attends to every detail, cozy robes, robe warmers while you have your massage, relaxing music, calming ambience, friendly staff and all shower amenities at your disposal.
I highly recommend that you put a Rumi Simone gift card at the top of your Wish List this Christmas season!
Great service and must have products!. If you've ever considered having a facial or regularly get one, you must have one at Rumi Simone! My skin looked and felt amazing afterward. The experience was wonderful from beginning to end and their products are of the highest quality. If you have not been in the boutique and tried their products, two I highly recommend are: Nature cleansing gel by Valmont (wow) and the Sachajuan hair products...all of them!
best pedicure ever!. all right I know I just spent as much on my pedi as my latest pair of shoes, but I have my reasons. I realize I can stop in just about anywhere and have my toes done these days, but the peace of mind that came with the awesome pedicure is PRICELESS!!! I saw 20/20 and all the local news reports about dirty sinks and tools and there is NO WAY I will ever compromise my health to save a little money. Anyways, I think I'm pretty smart to get an excellent service and maintain it at home for a few weeks before I head back in for more. I mean it's not hard to use a pumice file and change polish. If my words dont change your mind, check out the virtual tour on their website because that nail suite is gorg! Amazing products too, RGB polish (that truthfully I had never heard of before and it was fantastic), she even used a clarisonic during my pedi...wow! I stand behind my rating....RUN, DON'T WALK!
beautiful spa salon. I scheduled a double spa pedi celebration. I let the front desk know about how special the occasion was for me and they did their best to keep us happy. I was very pleased with the modern atmosphere and products. Parking was not an issue and the lake and coffe shops neighboring the shop were a plus for the apres spa outing.
Very poor customer service!.
I went to Rumi regularly for a period of 2 years because my beloved hair stylist worked there. I stayed for him, however I was appalled by the snobbishness of the staff. I constantly felt that they were short with me and did not deem me high brow enough for them, despite my ability to pay their exorbitant rates.
They were particularly rude to my daughter, who had an appointment, but was asked not to walk through the spa even though a staff member told us to go that way.
Thankfully, my stylist and I have moved on
Rumi Simone Spa Experience.
I am a local Doctor in the Lake Oswego area & decided to send my hard working staff for a day at the Spa (of course on a day that we're not open). Since I had heard so much about rumi simone or as what the lake oswego people call it "rumi" as it has become a household name already; I decided to try it out.
Well, my staff is still talking about "rumi"; they were absolutely blown away by the experience and I think they are totally hooked. The staff is very professional, courteous and kind. They attended to every one of my staff member's needs and I've never seen my staff so relaxed, appreciative and eager to work with big smiles on their faces.
Thank you rumi simone, we love you and see you very soon. Waiting for you guys to come out with your Bed & Breakfast Package so we don't have to leave after the fabulous relaxing experience (never hurts to ask). You have created something very special, thanks again.
Response to rumi simone hires criminals....
Friends of rumi simone,
We received an email earlier today in regard to this matter. Rest assured that rumi simone only has the up most respect for our clients, our employees and the environment to which we provide great services. We would never put anyone in harms way as the above may suggest. Billy Joe Norris is not an employee of rumi simone. He was once considered for employment for a 3 day period in October of 2008. He had rave reviews on the services he provided to a handful of clients while he was here. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
gorgeous but terrible customer service.
I am sad to say that I had a negative experience at Rumi Simone. I was excited about finding this gem and was ready to tell my friends and family to go; however I had such a negative experience that I regret I can't really go back. I found their attitude completely antithetical to genuine customer service. First, I had a massage that was pricey ($100) and I did not feel it met my needs. I expressed this to a staff person, and they basically framed this as a 'miscommunication', and because this therapist sees athletes, I must be wrong. I have had many, many EXCELLENT massages so I know what I'm talking about. They treated me disdainfully and then offered a complimentary steam and sauna-- after I had already been told it would comp'ed with my salon visit. So this was not much of anything. Second, they argued with me when I said I had been told my salon visit would include use of the spa. Again, terrible service to argue with me as the customer!
Finally what really upset me was the fact the stylist added in extra costs without telling me. I went in for a RE GROWTH color. That means just the roots. Instead, she gave me an all-over color PLUS a treatment that I was not told would add on to my bill. Further she completely messed up my color - months of lightening it gradually was undone in one visit with a matte, overly dark color. The cut was not right, but thankfully this was corrected and the woman I saw who 'fixed' it was great. At least they let me return for a correction and did not stick me with a bill (I wasn't sure, based on my prior visit.) However the overall experience of incompetence with the first stylist, having costs sneaked in and then having "sticker shock" at the counter led me to not want to return.
This does make me sad because their steam and sauna facilities are stunning, as are their facialists. They carry great products but I'd rather buy them online than support their shop. They treated me so shabbily I will have to find somewhere else to go.
