Portland >Pizza Mia
close to Residence Inn North Harbor;
food was very good we had pasta menu items rather than pizza. it was very busy. appears to be neighborhood place with families at the tables, singles and couples at the bar and pool area. most people say service was slow, but for a busy night I would say average. server was very personable and we got plenty of attention.
overall I would give it good marks. I certainly will go again as choices nearby are slim and we stay at the hotel enroute back to WA state.
Called in a to go order last night for dinner. Ordered a simple Large Pepperoni Pizza the cost being $18.00. I thought OK seems a bit much but you get what you pay for..... not the case at all. When I got home the pizza was no thicker than a piece of cardboard. There was hardly any cheese and barely any pepperoni, 2-3 pieces per slice (and these were large slices). I will never go back to this restaurant. Very disappointed because it would have been a convenient place to stop by for dinner.
Service with a smile.... This is more of a review on a server I had, Cladia I believe it was...I never had so much fun! either she was joking when she said "I'll chug a couple beers in the back" or she's just naturally the life of the party. some times it only takes one thing for you to return somewhere, for Pizza Mia, that one thing is Claudia.
such a pleasant time.. You really can't ask for more. Service with a smile, large selection of food and drinks to fit your liking, and of course, your choice of music (jukebox). Whether your stopping by for a quick bite to eat, or celebrating your teams victory, I say check It out for yourself, you wont be let down.
Great service...Great food...Great people. It's hard to find good service this day and age, but I was lucky enough to stop by Pizza Mia on my way home to Washington, and discovered that great service is possible. I like a fantastic pizza, they know what I like. I love a soothing beer after a long day at work, they know what I love, and sometimes I just want to relax, they give that to me. Cheers to you Pizza Mia!
Get your facts straight. I've been to this restaurant several times in the last year and a half. I live in the condos across the way and DO NOT work there. Neither BY THE WAY, do any of these people besides Lauren so WRONG buddy. He is also mistaken on the event that he was almost "shot" at. I was there and the people knew eachother and obviously didn't like eachother much. The manager didn't call the cops because no one actually hit eachother and the "gun" was a club from a car. These people weren't customers from Pizza Mia and so they had no connection to the restaurant. Don't listen to people on here that come once. I come here almost daily and I love all the girls that work here like family. I hope you will all give this place a chance cuz you'll definitely feel the same :)
ID RATHER EAT FAST FOOD THEN BE SHOT....
I have always had a fantastic time here, great people, great food, great atmosphere. Not the kind of place you would expect to have a gun pulled out, but I guess it could happen anywhere, right? No worries, I'm sure the manager has already called the cops. Now we have gentlemen verbally fighting with each other, guns pointing all over the place. I hope the cops get here quick before someone really gets hurt. Things cool down, and the gentlemen leave, not before saying "thanks" and "later" to the manager. The cops never came, why? manager: "If I call the cops, it will be reported to the LCC (liquor control commission) and we could lose our licence."
I have never meet anyone so selfish, that would put ones work, before peoples life's.
Once again, I have always had a fantastic time here, but its not worth getting shot over.
P.S. Only good reviews on here are from employees.
For my money this is one of Portland's Best Pizzas.
I am more a fan of great crust, great sauce, great taste, and great service than massive size. And, Pizza Mia hits high marks on all of the above. My wife and I live in Vancouver and our home is within blocks of several pizza parlors. We still drive to Portland for Pizza Mia.
I read the most recent review below, where the customer had a bad experience with service. But, I have had lunch and dinner at Pizza Mia at least a half a dozen times and find the service to be far above average. (I've never been ignored and find the service to come with a smile.!)
Like the headline says: For my money this is one of Portland's Best Pizzas
Morons write reviews for resturants on the internet.. Ever notice how most reviews on the internet are negative? I love how the service was JUST SOOO BAD that you were ignored during the entire visitation, yet you still ordered, received food, and payed for it, all while pooping yourselves in a passive aggressive immature fit, thinking in the back of your mind, how the internet will be your warm nipple to suck on later in the privacy of your sheltered and shameful lives. I find it interesting that people base their opinions off of a nonsensical text block that was written in obviously pure anger. Yes, sometimes we all have a bad experience at a restaurant, bar, movie theater, grocery store... but only the people who are irrationally and completely consumed by their anger "do something about it" by posting a ridiculous review that doesn't actually convey the truth. Now, I'm not saying that Pizza Mia is SUPER AWESOME or anything, but the point is that it is a pretty decent place where when given the choice between subway, and here, most choose here (I mean jesus, you have the choice between a eating soggy foot long while staring at the acne scarred face of a teenage boy, or fresh hot pizza, beer, football, and hot ladies in tight clothes, come on!). And just because the super hot chicks that work here don't want to change your diaper doesn't mean that the service is bad. So get your panties out of a bunch, and shut. the. hell. up. Morons.
WORST PIZZA & SERVICE, EVER!!!! DON'T GO!!!. We will NEVER go back again! We were in with some friends the other night & of course it was recommended by the hotel (later to find out that the owner of the hotel also owns the pizza place!). We seated ourselves & watched the "manager-older fake tanned lady" & the pregnant girl walk past us more than 7x's without even acknowledging us. To top things off, the older lady just sat around & gossiped about customers in front of everyone! We debated on just going next door to Subway for food but instead the pregnant girl FINALLY came around & just said. What do you want. WOW! Such service or LACK OF! We ordered a Margaritta pizza & a pitch of beer. When we finally got the pizza, it was warm, there was NO mozzerella on it or basil. We asked them about it & they just said that's how it's made. If you look at the description on menu it was completely different than what she tossed on our table. The scene was more of a bar rather than a "family" pizza place. Again we could hear from our seats the older lady/manager & the pregnant girl talking/complaining about the customers that they had who were regulars & how they wanted everyone to leave so they could get out & close things down early, even though that the door says they close at 11pm. What a waste. If the owner only knew how this place was ran, he would hire a staff that CARES about making money instead of driving it away. OUR CONCLUSION: WORST SERVICE, WORST STAFF/MANAGER & WORST FOOD IN ALL THE PLACES WE HAVE VISITED.
