Tips for Pastini Pastaria

Best Italian food restaurant in and around Portland!. I've been to several different Pastini locations in and around Portland and I have to say; each location has superb Italian food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Some chains, you can definitely feel the quality wane from restaurant to restaurant. It's not like this for Pastini.

Anyway, I thought I'd write a review up for this Division & 21st location since I went there for the first time a couple of nights ago.

First of all, great location. The restaurant itself is easily accessible. Second, the atmosphere - very classy, nice strong colors, good Italian vibe.

The food was awesome. First impression when my fettuccine with creamy chicken sauce was placed on the table - that's a LOT of food for not a lot of money! And it isn't just slopped on the plate either - presentation was really nice. My fiancee had a really big salad and she seemed satisfied.

If you're an appetizer person (or not, it doesn't matter because) you NEED to try the bruschetta classic or something like that. Some of the best bread I've ever tasted!

So this location of Pastini does not disappoint: same great food, nice price, lots of families eating there but also romantic enough to sit in the corner with your significant other. Very much recommended!

Is it better than Pierre's or Mama Maria's formerly located on SE Powell blvd?. I've sampled Pizza from all over the US and found only one pizza that compared with Pierre's-in Amesbury, MA. Are there any pizza lovers in Portland that rember the Pierre pizza sold from his deli on 39th & Powell? I would certainly love to find pizza that good again.

Loved it!. My partner and I went here for lunch today. We were seated promptly when we arrived at 12:15pm. Our order was taking and our food arrived quickly after. The drinks were okay. The food was really good. I love the bread too. My complaint is with the parking availablity, not with the food. Parking is TERRIBLE! Other than that a great dining experience was had by all.

Pretty Decent. Pastini is a pretty good little pasta shop. We must have beat the dinner crowd because we were promptly seated, but after that only mediocrely attended by the waitress, though she was quite nice when she did manage to stop by. What bothered me more was the very uncomfortable booth seat my wife and I sat on. Not that I expect fine leather, but it was a stained piece of wood, could have at least had a cushion. None the less, the food made it worth it. Tasted great and a damn good value. Not the best restruant ever, but a good place to stop by from time to time.

The best service. Our family visits Pastini at least once a week for the best food at a great price. But the service is what really keeps us coming back...the wait staff is outstanding and consistent!

Bad Service. The food is yummy and a good value, but don't go there for good service. The hostess was non-exsistant and after having to hunt a waitress down to see where we could seat, the service only got worse. Wait time was very long, two parties (3-5 people) seated 20 -30 minutes after us received their food before us (we were only a party of two). After the food received, we were ignored by the server until AFTER we finished our meal, and that was only to fill water glasses, despite our empty glasses DURING the meal. Once the check was received, we were than once again ignored by the server and had to beckon the "hostess" if someone would please take our check. I attempted to make a complaint with the company, but no comment cards avail. nor is their website accomadating. Very disapointed.

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Neighborhood Italian eatery serves a menu of basic pastas prepared with fresh vegetables and homemade sauces; salads, paninis, sandwiches.
