best salon/best stylist: Amber Rae. FIrst i wanna start, this salon is very beautiful, i enjoyed the atmosphere.

I have always been nervous about going to a new salon to see a new stylist. It has always been important to find that one stylist i can trust and stick with, so when i needed to branch out to find somewhere new, I came to citysearch to help. All the reviews about Rae were exactyly True, that was a relief. She made me feel comfortable and in trust worthy hands. Plus she did a great job on my hair. Ive been back many times and satisfied every time.

Nicole Escudero Best Hair Artist. I wanted hair extensions, so, I went to Bliss where Nicole Escudero excelled in her work. I don't have enough praise and thank you for the job she did for me, my hair was quite short and she did a fantastic job with the extensions. I get lots of compliments and I am very happy with the results. I can't even tell myself the difference between natural long and my extensions, not to mention most of the people and friends can't either and they are very impressed on how natural it looks. Nicole is an artist, she does her work to perfection and it is fun to spend the time with her. She is very down to earth, honest and takes her work to highest levels of perfection. I am gratefull and extremly happy that I choose her for my hair extensions. I will always follow her as my hair stylist, no matter where she is.

I strongly recomend her for anybody that wants an artistb working on their hair, wants to look sexy and feel good about it. She is the best, if you need hair extensions, run to her, don't hesitate, she knows what she is doing and she is doing it extremly well.

Thank you is not enough for to show her how much I appreciate my extensions and how happy I am with them, still, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Nicole for your perfect work on me!

Sore Toe!!. I have been to Bliss before but not for a couple of years and so I was very excited when they did the Groupon offer a few months ago. I was expecting a baby in May so i wasn't able to get in until just a few weeks ago. I met a friend there for mani/pedis before lunch out. I had Carmel (who was very nice) for my appointment. Unfortunately I could tell immediately that my manicure was not going to be good. She used way too thick of coats and it was all bubbly. I admit that I am a bit of a picky person when I get a manicure so maybe some people would have been okay with it. I decided to let it go as the pedicure was what I really came in for. I LOVE pedicures and try to get them about once a month at some salon. Carmel did a nice job on the soothing part but she also cut my nails way too short and cut my cuticles on the side of my nails which resulted in a cut big toe. It stung and throbbed but it stopped bleeding after a little bit. The polish looked a bit better but not great also as once again I thought it was too thick.

By the next day my toe was super infected and oozing pus. It was the 4th of July so I waited a couple of days to call and left a message for the owner. I did get one call back from Tammy who left me a cell phone number to call her back at but the message cut out and I was missing a couple of digits. I called the next couple of days two more times and left messages but as of now I haven't received any more call backs.

I did appreciate that they took their time with me as sometimes when you are using a coupon they rush. I just feel like the finished product wasn't very good. I have never got an infection from a pedicure before or bleed!

I had to wait for a time when I could get a babysitter for my kids to go there and overall it wasn't worth it. I have 2 more groupons but I don't really want to return or gift them away after my experience.

Rae is truly a hair GODDESS!. I've lived in Portland for 4 years, and I am horribly ashamed to say that it took me that long to find my hair's soulmate. A few months ago I was on a quest to find someone to style my hair in victory rolls for a 40s themed photoshoot. After reading so many killer reviews of Bliss, I knew I had found the place. Rae took my poor, limp, sad mane into her amazingly gifted hands and in the blink of an eye, my hair had time-traveled to the 1940s. It was like MAGIC. I immediately booked an appointment for a cut with her the following week--and yet again--MAGIC. My hair had never been so happy. I was just in for a haircut today and mentioned I was going to a friend's wedding this evening and here I sit, my normally stick straight hair full of soft and lovely curls. Nobody else in Portland will ever be allowed to get their hands on my hair again. VIVA LA RAE!

There is a great reason why this is a 5 star salon. My opion this salon is great. Amber Rae welcomed me in with a friendly smile and proffesional view on what looked best with my hair type.

I've been loving my hair and finally I know how to style my hair at home.

THE BEST: Amber RAE!!. Amber Rae, is wonderful!!

She gave me the best haircut I've had in years. I'm very happy i found her through citysearch! This website is great.

I'll be going back for a color, she had some great ideas that I'm excited to try. Ive been needing something new and she has helped me figure out what I want!

BEST COLORIST. I originally went to Bliss salon to see Rae, Amber Rae, to recieve a kertin straightening. I was just interested in making my hair more manageable, but ended up realizing I LOVE my hair!

I usually have always colored my own hair, just cover the few greys, But after meeting Amber Rae I desided to try something new. I went in for a color and left feeling like a new women! TRUST ME LADIES, there is a difference between being okay with your hair to feeling the confidnece from enjoying my hair.

I say 5 stars and please run, dont walk to go see Rae.

Mary is amazing!. Mary has been my stylist for over 4 years. She is absolutely incredible! She styled my hair for my wedding, helped me find a variety of styles to fit my busy life and now cuts my entire family's hair!

I was so excited to see that Mary is now at Bliss Salon. We have already had our first appointments at Bliss and we were thrilled to have a great experience and to try the bumble and bumble products!

If you want a great cut every time, CALL MARY! Great with all types of hair-even your husbands!

Get's You Dates ;). I saw Caitlin at Bliss after reading multiple promising reviews on Citysearch and they all held true. I went in to get a drastic haircut, going from LONG hair to a pixie cut and I loved the finished product, not to mention I was asked out by 3 different men in the following 2 weeks. Caitlin is amazing! I brought in a picture of what I wanted and she matched it perfectly!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my hair everytime!. My stylist is Nicole and she is AWESOME. My hair ALWAYS looks better that I thought it could. Probably, because she takes her time to make sure the results are wonderful and she engages you in the process, to avoid unpleasant surprises. I had been looking for a salon and stylist to call my own.........and I am pleased to have found it in Nicole. She rocks!!!!!!!
