I have been going to Jane for a little over a year now and could not be happier. Her salon is spotless, her manner is comfortable and caring, the music is always great and I am always really at ease. For a long time before going to Jane I had stopped getting waxed because I have sensitive skin and tend to get ingrowns in my "area", my underarms were a nightmare and my legs always felt semi hairy when I was done, NO MORE! She also offers microdermabrasion at a very resonable rate and gives AMAZING facials. I have never felt like anything other than the most valuable client she has ever or will ever have. A lot of the salons I have gone to make me feel rushed in and out and like somehow I have caused them some sort of inconvience in chosing them to provide me services. Then when you are leaving and it's time for the tip or to buy product the attitude changes and suddenly I am the most important person on the planet. Jane dosen't make you feel like you have to buy anything but has a great deal of knowledge about the products that she uses and will spend the time with you to let you know what you might need without over selling. If you are looking for a really comfortable wax and glowing skin then I'd have to say Jane is absolutley your girl!

After reading the CitySearch reviews, I felt confident going to see Jane to get my brows done. Someone comes from Seattle! She is friendly and talkative, the wax was a good temperature and the whole experience was, physically at least, painless. I've been getting my brows professionally waxed for well over a decade, and this wasn't a good experience at all. She shortened the brow width (now just barely wider than my eyes), a definite no-no - this doesn't flatter anyone. My brows are also now completely asymmetrical: not only does one have a defined arch (in the wrong place though) and one doesn't, the worst part is that they're not the same height: one brow is about a half centimeter higher than the other one. I look like I'm giving people a cock-eyed appraising look, constantly. And when you've been getting waxed as long as I have, it takes a long time to grow back (if ever!!) If the ends of my brows never grow back, I'm going to be really, really upset. I can't believe I have to look like this for a couple of months. Very, very disappointed. Would probably be fine for something not requiring a sense of aesthetics (leg, bikini, whatever else wax).
Pros: Wax a comfortable temp, quick and painless, fair price
Cons: ASYMMETRICAL BROWS!!!
