I had never had a facial before I went to Jen at Zama. I was very impressed with how comfortable and relaxed she made me feel. My skin felt refreshed and looked great. I will definitely go back.

i'd highly recommend jen meller at zama. she's the lead esthetician and really knows her subject. my skin has been a bit crazy this winter with dry skin patches and some breakouts due to pregnancy hormones. the facial was relaxing and i left with my skin feeling so refreshed. it hasn't felt this moisturized and smooth in ages. the space was calming and beautiful as well. the january special facial this month was a great deal!

Zama's new aesthetics department is super! Jenifer gave the best facial I've ever had. Her touch is gentle and soothing. She incorporates a lovely neck and shoulder massage. And she's very knowledgeable about skin types and skin care. I love their line of skin care products, too.

Loved them, but never going back.. I had heard really good things from others about Zama and when I found out they could bill for PIP (auto accident) I decided to check them out when my regular therapist was out of town. I was impressed... at first.

I had booked two appointments in a row and became suddenly very feverish and ill. I called as soon as I knew and cancelled my appointment that evening and the one the next day as well. I was told that in the future they would have to charge me a 33% cancelation fee if I failed to give 24 hours notice. Fine enough. When I called to make additional appointments I was told that they could not book an appointment for me because of my two late cancelations unless I gave them a credit card. I don't have any form of plastic by choice. Because of this she refused to book an appointment for me.

I get that those procedures are in place for a reason, but I became ill and it was a one time thing. I could see if I had missed multiple appointments, but this was something I could not control. I would have gone back, but now I can't unless I get a bank account.

Accupunture Works Wonders!. Zama has a wonderful accupuncturist, Katelyn Decker! I was involved in a car accident 5mos ago, and started accupuncutre approx 2mos ago in August, and I swear along with the massage therapy, Accupuncture has helped to speeded up my recovery process!!! My neck and shoulders always feel great after accupuncture!!

I'm a newbie to accupunture and let me tell you, it is not for the faint at heart,.. they are tiny little needles and you do feel an instant little prick, but Katelyn D. does her absolute best to adjust the needles so you are comfortable with your experience. Katelyn also does various forms of massage or other techiques to complete your sesssion so overall its a very comfortable and relaxing experience. I would recommend this very helpful and rewarding procedure to anyone involved in a car accident or sports injury, it really does give you results over time., I've noticed the difference in only 2mos!!

Ashiatsu by Erica. I have gone to a lot of massage therapists for my upper and lower back pain as a result of 3 bulging discs. I use the massages with my spinal decompressions. The massages did not provide the deep muscle work that I wanted. Even when the deep muscle was performed it resulted in more pain from the 'pointy' fingers. I searched around and decided to try Ashiatsu which I had not experienced before. After the first session with Erica, I realized that she provided the type of massage that I needed. Erica does a great job of providing deep muscle work without causing pain. With her expertise, I have not had to brace myself for any pain because there isn't any. She is very professional and caring. She pays special attention to any particular issues that I bring. I wish I had known about her a long time ago. I highly suggest that you make an appointment to see her. You will be very glad you did.

fantastic professional massage. zama massage was my first massage here in Portland oregon after a week of road trip and moving into a new apartment. the space is in an eclectic part of town with interesting shops and restaurants. the interior is zen basic, relaxing, quiet and comfortable. very simple to make reservation via telephone. the therapists were professional, caring and they listened to my situation and addressed my chief concerns. i left there feeling wonderful and renewed. thank you zama massage for a wonderful experience. Walked out of "totaled" car - directly into Zama Massage!. I was the driver in an accident that totaled my friend's car. Fortunately, I was not at fault, and was able to walk (stiffly) away - directly into an appointment at Zama Massage. Suffering from whiplash, and bruises everywhere, I was promptly cared for by the professional and knowledgable Zama staff. At the end of the visit, not only was I pain free, but I directly attribute the care I received at Zama for enabling me to return to work the very next day! My follow up appointments were invaluable to my recovery and continued well being. Once a month for several years, I attended a one hour massage with Katherine Stauffer, and later with Erika Mueller. Other than the accident, I have health related pain issues that are significantly relieved by massage: it is the most cost effective and least invasive form of effective pain management I have tried. The staff at Zama has also worked hard to accommodate short-notice needs, such as special events or changes in my pain levels that need immediate attention. I really enjoy and appreciate the staff at Zama and have recommended them several times to friends who are looking for a professional, consistent experience. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking pain relief as part of a plan for whole-body healing.

Lisa is great!. I've been a client of Lisa's for a few years and her deep tissue massages are wonderful, relaxing and are helping work out some longterm pain issues. She is very professional, and attentive and she really gets into the tight areas but is careful to not dig too deep. The massages are very relaxing and therapeutic.

Excellent massage by Erika. Erika is by far the best masseuse I have seen. Erika goes out of her way to help you feel comfortable and discuss your problem areas as well life style. This enables her to work on the areas that are prone to irritation as well as alleviate pain and enhance relaxation. Erika's focus on overall wellbeing helps her clients work on long term healing in addition to immediate pain relief.
