Old Town Florist: Downtown at The Heathman Hotel

Save money go somewhere else. I needed two bouquets for my wedding. I am having a beach wedding so I don?t need any more flowers. I picked old town florist because it was the first to pop up in the Google search engine. I sent an e mail to Ann requesting a quick consult. I told her exactly what I wanted my bouquet to look like; red roses and white Lilly?s. I asked if we could meet to discuss and place the order. (the meeting should only take 5-10 minutes)

Ann wrote back and told me we could meet but she charges $50 to discuss the flowers. I could understand this if I was planning a huge wedding or something more complex then two simple bouquets. I was so appalled I wrote Ann back to let her know how tacky this was and I chose a florist in my SE neighborhood that truly cares about their customers. I work for lawyers and the consult fee though the Oregon State Bar is only $35.00. Are you really telling me she charges more for a consult than a lawyer????????????? Get real. And the funny thing was I was planning & prepared to spend astronomical prices for my two little bouquets. Old Town Florist values transactions over relationships with customers, they missed out and I will never use them for any flower arrangement or spend a single dime in their store.

Got there in time. With a short notice I needed flowers fast. Old town did it in a snap without the pretentious attitude that comes from so many in the service industry.
