Horrible Food. This is the worst Thai restaurant I have visited. The location of this restaurant was the deciding factor for us to chose it. ( Its besides Macy's in Tanasbourne, really commercial place). The place is huge, however has a poor service. The waiters are really rude. We had ordered Pad Thai and yellow curry ( chicken). Though both of them were horrible. The waiter kept on looking at our table, guess was waiting for us to leave as soon as possible. The place is also higher priced as compared to Thai restaurants . However the chicken is chewy and both the dishes had no taste!!

Clean, nice servers, timely. There is a reason this restaurant is always busy. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food comes out in a quick and timely manner even when it's busy! The food was pretty good, a 4/5 for me. However, the curry is a bit on the watery side. Please don't water down the curry next time. Overall, 4 stars =)

Great fresh flavors. I just got back from here for dinner and it was excellent. My friend told me he had a great dish of pineapple fried rice and that I would like this place. Both of us have worked in professional kitchens for years.

We started off with their half priced appetizers. We got the golden purses which where wontons stuffed with a fish stuffing served with sweet chili sauce. The wontons were perfectly crispy while not being hard. The stuffing tasted very fresh and plenty of arromatic additions to the fish to make it very flavorful. The best past was the texure of this dish.

I had the red duck curry. I get this at other restaurants so I wanted to compare it. This was hands down above and beyond what I have had. The duck was presented on the bone with crispy skin and melt in your mouth tender meat. Lychee, grapes, peaches and cherry tomatoes were displayed with a not too sweet red curry sauce. Some other thai places rely on added sugar to their sauces but here the lychee added the sweetness which played so well with the duck. I did not expect the fruit choices but found them to be wonderful with the spice of the sauce.

I will make the voyage from portland again to try some other dishes.

The service was ok but not friendly while not being rude.

The interior was very modern and looked great with asian elephant statues and shelving inset in the walls with back lighting. Open kitchen where you can see through the glass into their walkin cooler where they had their prepped ngredients in clear containers.

Surprised the reviews aren't better.

Unsure why some reviewers only give three stars when they describe the food as "great".

Tried to order . . .. But like a previous reviewer, they never answered the phone. So I ordered from Zab Thai in Hillsboro instead and it was excellent!

Don't answer the phone. I found their listing in my Entertainment book and decided to try them out tonight. I convinced my kids to try something different and we called them. Their phone rang and rang and no one ever answered. Well, I will just go back to my favorite Thai restaurant in the area.

Another good Thai restaurant. Certainly if you?re from Thailand you can appreciate the name of this Thai restaurant since the Elephant is the country?s national symbol.

Located in the Streets of Tanasbourne outdoor mall, I stopped in for lunch and I was hoping for the portions to be more Elephant-size. I wouldn?t say it was a small amount of food my colleague and I received but I?d like to seen a little more food.

That said, the food was good, the service prompt and responsive, and the price was right. It was $21 for lunch which included two entrees and four spring rolls to start our meal with. I had the Massamun Curry Beef and ordered it medium spicy, which barely even got my sweat glands going. I would have been curious to know if the very spicy as listed on the menu would have knocked my socks off. Regardless I enjoyed the beef and potatoes in this Southern Thai dish. The pieces of beef were pretty large so I did like that, although there didn?t seem to be enough peanuts at the bottom of my bowl. There were plenty of onions, though. Maybe too many. All in all though, the food was good.

I really liked the look and feel of this place aside from the entrance. It had the Asian decor with some cool orange and yellow colors mixed in. However, be prepared as you enter, because when you do, you feel like you could almost eat off another patron?s plate. The distance from the entrance to the first table is small. You walk in and boom, there you are. You?ll see what I mean when you visit this place.

I don?t get over to this part of town too often but I?d come back to Thai Elephant again. Nice people, good price, good food, good service, and clean. It didn?t completely bowl me over to where I?m dying to go back, but nonetheless I would.

Good Curry, Nice Atmosphere and Good Service. While eating lunch here, I found the atmosphere to be warm, the interior upscale and the bamboo tables quaint. They start each table off with a delicious soup, which was a nice touch. The service was prompt and attentive and when we asked questions regarding the menu, they knew what they were talking about. The panang curry with beef was excellent, however the thin noodle and chicken dish that my partner had was only average. We will be back, but will try a different entree next time.

I hope this place sticks around. I have been to many thai food resturants and this is one of the best. Prices were average but the food was well above average. Good portions, very fresh, well presented, and YUMMY! The tofu was done perfectly. The service was good, not great. The restuarant was clean and comfortable and in a great location. I will definitely be going back for their spring rolls, yellow curry, and pad thai!

Below average food, horrible service.. Food service was prompt and attentive, that?s were everything went wrong. After ordering three dishes, and an appetizer the food was not as good as some said. At the end of our meal I tried to use a Visa gift card, the manager said that he was unable to use the card and said it was declined. Turns out that he charged the gift card and lied to us and said that he was unable to use that card. After below average food and bad service I would not recommend this establishment.
