inexperienced and inhospitable. I shouldnthave tried to save a penny by going to this spa. The staff was inexperienced and not very nice or welcoming. I just felt like another appointment to them and I feel as if they should have offered more for how much I was spending anyways. I will obvioulsy be going somewhere else for my hair removal needs

Go To Your Dermatologist Instead!. Given, it is a nice office - and the gals are nice...nurses even, however, please read the other reviews....most are on laser hair removal....do you really need a nurse to do that! Now on actual skin care...also please read review by chemin on their skin care issues at Emit.

After a visit to Emit for Rosacea and general inquiry into laser rejuvenation, I decided to visit my dermatologist for a 2nd opinion. I explained to him what Emit suggested to me as the answer to my skin care concerns and he was appalled. Dr. K. is a leading dermatologist in Portland and is highly regarded among his peers.

He indicated to me that the program Emit suggested was not only the incorrect procedure for my skin; it had the potential to cause irreversible damage.

Needless to say I have left my skin care to the professionals and will never, ever visit a day spa for any treatment for my face.

The few months of training a young girl receives for her ?esthetician? certificate is in no way interchangeable with a medical doctor?s years and years of medical training, specialization and expertise.

And?by the way?.the cost to have my doctor treat me was LESS than Emit quoted?so save yourself some money and most importantly, save face?.and go to a medical doctor!

Very professional and great results!. I'm very pleased with my experience at Emit. The staff is always professional, friendly and honest. I love the fact that only licensed nurses do the treatments and not estheticians - they always make me feel comfortable and I know that I am in good hands! Also, the doctor who injects their fillers does an AMAZING job!

Professional and friendly atmosphere!. I really appreciate the experience I had at EMIT. I've recently turned 40 and am noticing the changes in my skin, (not to mention some hairs that weren't there just a year ago!). I called EMIT and had a brief phone consultation followed by a skin evaluation two days later in their office. The staff was friendly and very considerate of my privacy. The skincare consultant was very knowledgable, set me up on some great products and a skin renewing package! My skin looks better than it has in years! The lines around my eyes are even starting to fade! My sister is now doing laser hair removal and loving the results, so that's what I'll be doing next! Bottom line is that I'm really glad I chose to do this for myself!

Is it really worth that last hair on your chinny chin chin?. Well, I say go for it, but the price is high, so you may want to do this...ONLY If you are as hairy as a Gorilla, or have a beard and your gender says you shouldn't. That said, it may be a last option worth trying. The hair removal does work, but it is NOT permanent. And ouch, it hurts. Oh, and spend that little over a grand on something else, if you are thinking of going for a skin care package. I tried one and looked worse than I started out. Do your homework before letting the consulting person convince you that their laser facials will do anything for you. I sure felt pressured to buy the worthless package.

Not good. The place is nice looking and the staff are friendly, but after a couple visits you can't help but think they really don't quite know what they are doing here. I've since changed to a different clinic and am much happier.

Love my Results!. I just finished my final treatment at EMIT MedSPa. I cannot believe the compliments that I have been receiving on my skin! One of the consultants helped me choose the package that was best for my skin and wow what a difference! I have been using some products they suggested, they even gave me samples to try before purchasing becuase I was nervous about my skin tolerating them. My skin was looking really dull and and I had some very visable sun spots... not anymore! The treatments took care of them and I could'nt be more pleased.

I wish I had gone somewhere else. They gave me advice on skincare, but they made my problem much worse. They are nice enough, but I don't trust their judgement with skin anymore.

They'll work with ya.. long story short, after meeting with the consultant i picked a skin care package that i was told would correct my melasma. after a few treatments the dark spots/splotches had gotten worse. concerned, i then met with the head nurse who told me that they actually DON'T have any treatments to help melasma. i was pretty irked, since i had specifically been told it WOULD help. however, they did agree to convert my remain treatments to another type of service. i'm still bummed that i got bad information, wasted my time and a large amount of money because they misinformed me - but at least they were willing to work with me. oh, and laser hair removal is extremely painful! that's something you don't find out until you go through it. in fact, their website USED to describe it as "a warm sensation of gentle light." i noticed they quickly removed that descriptor. yeah. that's NOT what it feels like. it feels like hell on earth. oh, and i didn't get a heads-up that numbing cream was an option until mid-way through my LAST session!!! grrrr.

This spa is great!. I just finished a laser hair removal package at this spa, and am very pleased. Each time I visit, I'm greeted with a smile, everyone is so pleasant. The staff is also very helpful and flexible too. It can sometimes be hard to get an appointment, but that would be my only complaint. I think this place takes the stress and worry our of an otherwise confusing procedure. And I love not having to shave!!!
