I have been to Fusion Lounge on many occassions-.Good times, great people, awesome drinks & spectacular music. A total package. Fusion has gone through many changes and many owners but new owners are making a great effort to make it the club to go to. And are doing an excellent job doing so. This is one of the few clubs in Portland on the weekend that bumps til 4 or 4:30 in the morning. Lets get the cover charge clear here. Its $5 all night-not $10. On Fridays they play a mixture of 80's, hip hop, 70's & funk until 12 then it switches to some true dance music by Evan Alexander & Hi May. If you can make it until 1:30 am you will see that this is when the fun begins and how many different varieties of people come together. YES it does get packed at this time but well worth it. Same goes for Saturday nights there. Soire promotions puts on a great party. Dj A trane starts with mash ups, top 40, R&B & Jon Gordon plays electro house late, they do a spectacular job keeping people movin on the dancefloor on Saturdays. Bartenders and wait staff are great plus the front room is recently nonsmoking.
Before you go and make a judgement as to if you should go or not by what people write hear based on 1 experience you should check out Fusion on the multiple great times I have had here. Take a look NW 2nd & Couch.
- Pros: Bartenders, cover charge $5, variety of music
- Cons: after 1:30 it gets PACKED but thats what people want right to be where others are!!!
Too much for too little

I went to Fusion last night and I'm sorry to say it's craptacular! We got there before they started charging a cover, which I understand is $10. If I'd actually paid a $10 cover to get in, I would be angry and not just bummed. There is no vibe to this club, whatsoever. It seems like someone said, hmmm, how can I spend as little money as possible, give the patrons almost no value for their money, and make a crapload myself. Everything about the place screams high school prom and I guess anyone in Portland with a turntable can call themselves a DJ. Overpriced drinks, lame music with no transitions, no decor, terrible ladies room facilities, no one one the dance floor who was even on beat to the music and almost no one in the place with a sense of style they didn't get at the mall.
- Pros: The bartenders were on it!
- Cons: Too many to list
