TERRIBLE!. A group of 12 happy hour seekers showed up at Bettie Ford's a little before 5:00pm on 7/2/08. We would've had a reservation but they're mailbox was full the entire week and a half prior to our arrival date, and after several attempted phone calls no one answered. We waited outside for 25 minutes before someone actually came to the door to let us know what was going on. His excuse for not opening the door was that they were waiting for their food order to show up! Are you kidding me? Mind you it was over 90 degrees outside and he didn't even offer to let us in for a cold beverage. When we asked him for an update on when they thought they would open he said "Dude, don't get mad at me. I just work here." Seriously, it's going to take an act of God for any one of us to go back there, let alone recommend this place to any one we know. We walked around the corner to Aura and had AWESOME service and enjoyed killer drinks and food on their happy hour menu. Go there instead!

NEVER AGAIN!. We were expecting to see 80's-type Hollywood has-beens sucking away at their rehab-forbidden cocktails and laughing as though they were being naughty and getting away with something. Too painful to enjoy.

I'd think this place was cool if I were like twelve years old. What a boring place to go. Drinks are plain, service is plain, wow talk about hype! This place is so lame.

Great time, Table Service Worth it!!. My friends and I had a great time here!!! we were celebrating a bachelorette party and couldn't have asked for a better table, server, music, etc. We booked a vip booth (the one overlooking the dancefloor). We pretty much stayed up there the whole night. our server was fabulous, extremely attentive and made sure that people didn't sneak into our area (unless we wanted them to!). I live in LA and it's definitely not Les deux or Area but i think it works for portland and for what you pay (next to nothing) I wasn't expecting to see the cast of the Hills there. We were not disappointed! I would suggest it for anyone with a large group looking to drink, dance, and have fun!

BAD DRINKS, AVOID ALWAYS, CRASS SECURITY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, WACK SONG SELECTION. First Off, naming your bar after a detox center might sound cool... but it's not. It oozes of desperation like a suburb kid gorging on beer to impress equally lost bourgeoise sheep just to end up downtown getting his wallet stolen and shoes written on by someone with a brain. In fact, the product provided by this wannabe club needs some rehab quick. Absolutely no authentic club feel here at all... it's totally forced and sloppy. Overbearing security who are desperately waiting to catch a beat down from customers that know better. Seriously, the secret service style earpieces are so not necessary!!! Your club isn't that big. Girl with the clipboard... lose it cause you look like a fool. Again, is this place always resembling a suburban high school dance or is it just when it's open for business. The place smelled like an old woman and it's the dudes. Guess that's not the bars fault, but they do need better ventilation cause it smells like a bathroom. As for the drinks: overpriced, uninventive, and forgettable. If you took your worst BOWEL MOVEMENT and put it in a glass, you would have a better drink than the one these d-bags put together. Bettie Ford's drinks fail, bottom line. I would rather watch you make bad drinks fast than assume I'm so desperate for entertainment that watching you throw a glass around your back will make the deplorable libations, and the wait, worth my while. Cause it's not dude and you're a munch. Less fraternizing with yourself and more drink making and serving!!! Oh yeah, making people wait in line to get into a club that is half-full is shameful, especially since your regular crowd encompasses all the imbeciles that PDX can muster. The dj, Evil One... way up in that dj booth he looks sad and enslaved playing music that is so trite that I would be really surprised if dude is truly happy. The epitome of price gouging. All I can really say to sum this up: Bettie Ford Lounge is a disgrace to club culture and Portland.
