When you grow up, opportunities for pure fantastical delight can sometimes feel thin on the ground...which is when I step into this sweet downtown wonderland, where rows of housemade cupcakes and confections dance before your eyes. (Hey, this IS a fantasy, ok??) And if Who Needs a Brownie? cookies are your idea of a balanced breakfast, they open weekdays at 8:30am.

Adore their red velvet cakes, and the new Melty Goods ice cream treats are delicious. Try the Oregon Marionberry cupcake when they're in season.
Mmmmmm!. St Cupcake has the best cupcakes in town. I have had a lot of their flavors and never get disappointed! The coconut and pistachio ones are my favorites. The ambiance is nice too. I had saint cupcake at my wedding and they were a major hit!!
Great treats!. I go to St Cupcake to pick up treats whenever anyone has a birthday at work. Yes, it's a little pricey (those dots are NOT worth the 1.25, might as well get the big ones) but it's nice to splurge on an occasional treat. My favorites are the red velvet, pumpkin spice and coconut. A must try!
Overpriced, snobby attitude, average cupcakes. When i went it there the decor was nice it felt like a chill place. The service was sub par there was minimal interaction or welcoming the employee was hurried and didn't seem to care or have any recomendations on what to get. Plus they are out of most cupcakes. When i got my order which was expensive for just a cupcake it was average cupcake at the most. It tasted exactly the same as cupcakes you get from the grocery store, except they say their cupcakes are 'special' My money is better spend elsewhere with more welcoming service and higher quality cupcakes.
best cupcakes in town!. Saint Cupcake was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding. First off, they were very prompt with responding to emails and I loved working with Haley. We had a cupcake tasting with her and she made it really special and fun with my mother-in-law. They also give you a box of cupcakes to take home and taste after the tasting! I highly recommend them, they showed up on time and set everything up, and the cupcakes tasted great even throughout the 90 degree heat! They looked beautiful and we received tons of compliments from our guests. Very moist and tasty! Saint Cupcake is a great company who just wants to take care of everything so the bride does not have to worry. They literally do everything behind the scenes with the venue. A top vendor to work with, we will be using them for future parties without a doubt.
St yuckcake is more like it!. Its really cute inside so you would think nice people good cupcakes... Not so! Very rude staff and super dry SICKLY sweet not worth the price cupcakes! I wouldn't waste my time or money going back.....
Reminder, customers will give you money..
St Cupcake-
You are only selling cupcakes, not saving the world. This means you are selling a pleasant experience. This is something it seems far to many businesses forget, and I am afraid you are on that list for me.
My best friend tells me last minute he wants red velvet cake for his birthday, well, then he gets it! Yay, fun, celebration, excitement should follow when I call you to arrange a sweet surprise. Instead I get a stressed out explanation of complex policies, OR told come in right away because other customers have screwed you before and you can't trust us to hold cupcakes. This is not my problem, or any other customers. It's a downer, especially since we come to you on FUN days.
To be fair, I am not putting down your staff. I could tell that the girl wanted to give me fair service, but the policies she has to work with don't work for customers. Yes, customers are spoiled (I should know I've worked customer service for high end small businesses for 8 years), and occasionally you take losses, but that's how the cupcake crumbles.
So, in the end I went to you competition and was treated with most flexibility and excitement for my event and needs. In the end, the experience is what I bought.
Owners and Managers, please empower your staff to give exceptional service by putting the customer first in your policies.
Best Cupcakes in Portland.
Ten times better than Cupcake Jones. The cupcakes are just the right amount of light and fluffy with moist and dense. The top it even kind of caramelized and chewy.
Whether or not I love the frosting depends on what kind of cupcake I buy. I love red velvet with plenty of cream cheese icing, but they make a pistachio one (which I also love) with the same amount of frosting but it's just too much for me.
They won't beat a good homemade cupcake, but if you want a lovely desert it's a good place to go.
I liked it!. I have driven by SC numerous times and thought, "I need to go there sometime." Tonight was finally "sometime". My friend and I showed up around 9 p.m. I was delighted to notice that they carried Stumptown Coffee (though I didn't notice if they had wifi). I was sad to see that there were only 4 types of cupcakes left, though we did show up rather late. I thought the service was normal; very Portland-y. My only gripe was the guy never bothered to tell us that more cupcakes were on their way. However, the cupcakes we did purchase were delicious: moist, tasty, and the frosting on top was perfect. I would like to go back earlier in the day and see how the selection differs.
The people here are rude!. The people here are rude! impatient! and very impersonal! For the price of their cupcakes, they have no right to roll their eyes or interrupted you mid sentence. Especially since I was buying more then a dozen for a birthday party. Needless to say I canceled my order and went to JaCivas, were I bought BEAUTIFUL cupcakes that were perfect for the party!
Disappointing cupcakes. My husband and I went to the NW location for the first time today. I was really excited since I love cupcakes more than any other dessert and I had just read about Saint Cupcake on MSN. The article had mentioned that their Fat Elvis was to die for, so I assumed the rest of their cupcakes had to be good. We got there around the time they opened and I ordered five of their smaller cupcakes (dots). I had the banana chocolate chip poundcake, big top, pistachio buttercream on vanilla, pumpkin spice, and the vanilla with chocolate buttercream. My husband had two regular sized cupcakes, the vanilla-toffee with chocolate buttercream and the banana chocolate chip poundcake. As we dug in, the first thing we discussed was the icing. We hated the cream cheese icing and decided it tasted like a room temperature cheese. The buttercream icing was okay, much lighter than the cream cheese, but Saint Cupcake puts way too much on each cupcake. We felt overwhelmed by the amount of icing and found it detracted from the cake itself. The cake was a little dry, though still quite flavorful. We decided that the banana and the pumpkin cake would have been better as loafs. In the end, we had trouble finishing our selections. We weren't full necessary, but we both felt suddenly very sick. I guess you could say that Saint Cupcake serves some of the best laxatives in the city. We had no problem with parking or the staff and the shop decor was quite delightful.
