great stylists. I have been in many times to get a cut & color from Lucynda - she is fantastic. I have also seen the cuts of other stylists - one is a curly hair expert and creates fantastic styles - funky to gorgeous. I don't know Alex. Good location.

Great Massage!. I went to WACK to get my hair done and my stylist was running a tiny bit late. The girl at the front desk offered me a beverage and a chair massage. It was the BEST $10 bucks I have spent in a long time! I walked out of the salon looking and feeling like a new person!

Highly recommend the Massage!!!!

A Hair Cut. Nice cut. Parking was easy. Ordered fries from the Doug Fir - yummy. Great salon staff. Cool furniture, too.

Thanks for nothing, Alex.. I had met Alex Bravo out one night at a bar on East Burnside. He gave me his card and told me I should come see him for a haircut. Why not? I asked myself. I called and made an appointment. I showed up for my appointment and waited for over an hour, and no Alex. A few of the other stylists there made attempts to contact him, and no answer via phone. All the other stylists could do was apologize for his absence and I was off, without a haircut. I am glad that I was able to get on here and warn others about Alex. You are better off spending your money elsewhere.

Terrible excuse for a salon.. I walked into Wack and was bombarded by the owner, Alex. He told me he would be able to take me for a haircut in a few minutes after he finished up what he was doing. I had read some positive feedback on here about him, so I figured I would be in good hands. I was basically ignored for close to an hour sitting there. When I approached him and told him I was on a time crunch, he told me I had to pay for the haircut because of the abrupt cancelling of my service. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life. I would not suggest this salon to anyone.

Gorgeous Salon, Incredible Hair!. I walked into Wack Salon without an appointment and Alex Bravo, the owner was able to get me in 30 minutes later. I have always loved the Jupiter and the Doug Fir and stay there every time I visit Portland so I was exstatic to find such a great stylist in such a convienient location. I have curly hair which is hard to do and I was a little apprehensive about getting my hair done without an appointment. I was so pleasently suprised to find a great stylist in Alex and I will continue to go to him and recommend him to others. I came to City Search to write a review for Alex and found, not suprisingly a long list of great commentsexcept for one or two clients that were seemingly let down by someone who used to work there...or otherwise had some bad attitude about the salon. The salon was clean and friendly and very proffessional and by the way they do have coffee!

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE BY OWNER ALEX!. WHAT A JOKE OF A BUSINESS!! I saw Alex(the owner)for my haircuts. He is HORRIBLE with follow through with calling back, scheduling etc. I called a number of times and left messages to set up an appointment. The time I was able to FINALLY get through to him, he did not show up at the time booked. Since then I have called to reschedule-still no follow up. I guess he doesn't care much about his business or his clients. Word of mouth goes a long way! Hey Alex, this is a PROFESSIONAL relationship NOT a PERSONAL one!! Will not return to this salon and will not recommend it to ANYONE that I know!!

Book with Rosie!!!!. I was hesitant to make a change with my hair, but when I finally jumped, I was so happy that it was with Rosie. Her cut was amazing, and it was nice to be with someone who listened and modified it to meet my needs. I was most impressed with her skill with color, though. The colors the she chose for me were perfect! She is also very flexible and personable. It was by far the best experience with a stylist that I have had in my three years here in Portland, hands down!

Wack Salon is the only salon for my daughter's and I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Words can not describe Alex Bravo's talent for doing hair, he made my daughter look like she just walked out of a magazine! I love you Alex and thank you. Autumn loves her hair she looks so confident it amazes me. So now it's my turn. So to everyone out there if you are looking for a boost in your confidence then go to Wack Salon because they are sure to make you look like you just walked out of a magazine, and believe me that is what every woman wants. I will never go to another salon, I'm hooked, but what else is nice is where it is, there is a restaurant/lounge next door and a tattoo shop and a hotel and they have live bands that play in the stage area below the restaurant. I'm telling you that Wack Salon rocks and you should pay them a visit!!!!

Best Hair salon in Portland. The staff of the Wack Salon actually listen and they specialize in giving you the haircut you want and making it uniquly you. The owner's a really awesome guy and his team is amazing so they can give you anything you want whoever you are. They are all about customer service so you will always feel welcome and taken care of.
