Editorial Review for Brazil Grill – by Ivy Manning
In Short
This downtown space--with warm earth toned walls, multicolored decorations and huge neutral booths-sets the scene for Brazilian churrasco (shoo-rah-sco) dining. Families and groups flock here for the prix-fixe, all-you-can-eat feast of exotic dishes like hearts of palm salad and curried yams at the salad bar, and the endless supply of 12 roasted meats sliced at the table from large sword-like skewers. Extra side dishes and desserts like the flan-like pudim complete the meal.

I made reservations for Saturday night at 7:30. They called to confirm the day before which was appreciated. That day we had an additional friend that wanted to come, and they were happy to acommodate. We arrived promptly at 7:30 and our table was not ready yet, but they had a small bar area to sit and wait at. We didn't get seated until around 8:00 and by that time we were starving, but they did bring us the empanadas, which were okay. When we were seated, the meat came flowing fast! Several of us had the side dishes... the tabouleh was delicious and cleansed the palate. The meats were all tasty! The pork tendorloin was overcooked, but the rest of the meats were great, and we all ate too much! Overall, it was a fun experience for a group, and built a great base for an evening of drinking! I told some other friends and family about it, and they are all anxious to go. Price is a little steep ($31.95 each) but I would recommend it again when friends are in town!
Pros: Excellent variety, fun theme
Cons: Long wait even with reservations

We went for our fortieth anniversary are were disappointed. While meats (the ones that were finally brought around) were good for the most part), the available side dishes were lack luster and few. If a rather tasteless Casaer Salad, white rice, and black beans, let us not forget a very simple heart of palm salad will satisfy you for everything else in the dinner, then you will be be happy. Our part felt it wasn't. However, once we added the marinated olives to the hearts of palm, it was better. Take special care to use the small bowls that we didn't see until after we had put the beans and other things on our plates, though. Everything ran together and it wasn't pleasant. The lamb was superb, as was the shrimp and pineapple. The filet was prepared past medium and was dry. The tritip was good, and the ribs never made it around. The chicken wrapped in bacon was lackluster at best. We filled up on the meats, but felt that something was lacking. We did receive a free dessert for our anniversry and one for our granddaughter's birthday, which very nice. They were extremely good and huge.
Pros: large variety of meats to try, service was good. received slices of variety of meat choices
Cons: limited choices in side dishes, not all meats were presented
