BEST KOREAN CUISINE IN TOWN. The owners are so friendly, and the food is the very best ever! The Yaki Mandoo are HOME MADE!!!! Not frozen from a bag. They have good service, and amazing cuisine! I LOVE this Korean Restaurant. I am a regular, and never have had a bad meal here. I can't say enough good things about Hae Rim! Best Korean food outside of Seoul!

Authentic, delicious food; friendly service, simple and good-looking decor. My husband and I happened to spot this restaurant while looking for a parking spot at the Beaverton Town Center shopping center. Its bright red sign and clean, attractive, and simple windows are your first clue that Hae Rim might be special. We've been to Korea several times. This reminded us of the many small, welcoming eating places there. We had the pan-fried seafood pancake with green onion - beautfiul to look at: soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, filled with calamari and served with flavorful chili oil. For main courses we ordered barbecued beef and "BiBimBob," a mixture of rice, small bits of beef, vegetables and a soft fried egg - served in a blazing hot iron pot/bowl. You mix in several sauces to taste, stir it up - and it's fantastic. The wait staff saw to our every need, bringing hot tea, Diet Coke, water, and extra kimchi efficiently and in a totally homey and friendly way. We loved Hae Rim, felt totally cared for, and will return again soon.

Tasty and good bargain.. I had eaten here mutiple times during lunch and dinner. The combination dinner for 2 is a good bargain. We usually order that for dinner and there is enough to go around for our 2 kids sharing with parents. The owner is friendly and always checking if we needed any extra side dishes. He didn't frown on us for sharing food among 4 of us ( 2 adults and 2 kids) and even asked if we needed extra bowls of rice. My favorite is their seaweed and cucumber salad. This place is clean, food is delicious and kids friendly. However, service do get a bit slow. Suggest bringing some toys or cheerios if you are dinning with young children. We are an Asian family too, but did not feel discriminated by the owner or wait staff. ( Can't say the same for the sushi restaurant on HWY 99 in Sherwood-- though. So, I know the exact feeling of being discriminated by your own "kind" like what reviewer jaeshin0 stated) However, the other owner ( female) doesn't appear to speak much English and may had come across as being abrupt.

Good food!. I've eaten here 3 times. It's good food and service. They are kid friendly too. The food is good. I like the chigae. I haven't had a bad meal yet. They may be perceived by some as higher priced but the pricing is still better than western style restaurants in the area.

Worst serving.. worst... I've ever been...(I'm not a beggar)... Service is really bad.. If you're asian... don't go.. You'll know what I mean.. No professionalism.. They're really bad service mind. If you wanna enjoy the discrimination, worst service, small amount of food.., go..and enjoy it..

Not for kid, group... Regarding the food, don't take any special menu and lunch menu. For the special menu, the price is really high compared to other Korean restarant in town.. and not dilicious. too salty...

for the lunch menu, it is cheaper than usual.. so the service and food is really poor.. I really felt a guilty.. while I was eating it... Oh... Owner stared at us ...till we finished it... Don't order the cheap food.. You don't wanna enjoy different service...

Great. This place is amazing! I lived in Korea for a year and am always disappointed with Korean restaurants in the States. I judge all Korean restaurants by their chigae (stew) which makes up a large part of the Korean diet. I was knocked over by the authenticity of the food here. It was exactly as I had it in Korea. To be fair, I did have to send my dwenjang chigae (soy bean paste stew) back because it didn't have enough flavor. Apparently they thought since I wasn't Korean I wouldn't like it full-flavor, but when I got it back it was outstanding. I highly recommend this dish and this restaurant.

Another good surprise is the nice ambiance. Most Korean restaurants in the states are really dark dingy-looking places, but Hae Rim was clean, bright, and cheery, with nice tables, etc.

Go try it out.

Great restaurant, great atmosphere!. I've never been to a proper Korean restaurant before and wasn't sure what to expect, but was one if the best dinners I've had in a long time! My wife and I had the dinner combination, and I've never been a big fan of kim chi before but both the kim chi here was great, and the kim chi stew was simply incredible. Even if you don't know what authentic cuisine tastes like, anyone can tell this food is well prepared. The service was also excellent with the friendliest staff I've seen in quite some time. I am definitely going to become better aquainted with Korean cuisine in the future.

Best Korean food in Portland, hands down.. I think I've tried every Korean restaurant in the Portland metro area and Hae Rim is head and shoulders above the rest!! As a Korean, I know what passes for good Korean food and what doesn't. When you walk in and you see that most, if not all, diners are Korean, you know that's a good sign. The kimchi jigae (kimchee stew) is outstanding. Better than my mom's (and she's a good cook). The kalbi short ribs were so flavorful and the MOST TENDER I've ever had. Everything I've ordered here has been superb so you really can't go wrong. The service is attentive and kind, very uncharacteristic for a Korean restaurant. I'm glad Portland (well, Beaverton) finally has a great Korean restaurant! I'm taking my parents here when they visit Portland.

Best Korean Food in Oregon!. Hae Rim is a relative new place in town, located in the Beaverton Town Square shopping center, and hands down the best Korean food I've had in Oregon. I'm Korean so hopefully that carries some weight for the reader.

Service is genuine and the food is faultless. If you order a few entrees, they usually throw in some freebees. Watch for the free dessert drink. MMmm..
