Greatest Experience!. I've had the pleasure of sailing on both a breakfast and dinner cruise, both were wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone. Captain Shane is a friendly, reliable, charming man. He is great with young and old alike. Regardless if you have ever been on a boat, he will make you want to come back. The food was great, the views were superb, truly there is no better experience in Portland! Can't wait to return!!! View Less … View More
A good time was had by all. Portland is best seen from the water & Scovare offers a comfortable & fun vantage point. This was my third trip on Scovare but my first time on the dinner cruise. I took some out-of-town friends for the evening. Captain Shane tailored the sail to our wishes (choice of menu, who wanted to participate in sailing the ship or not, etc). Even my friend who was nervous about being on the water enjoyed the trip. As usual, the meal was tasty - green salad with apples, herb-rubbed chicken, lemon pepper salmon & cajun-spiced salmon, & apple pie. We'll be back again! View Less … View More
Lewis & Clark Sail. Experience the natural wonders in Portland's "back yard"! This was my first overnight cruise and Captain Shane's attentiveness and humor made the trip very enjoyable. My favorite leg was winding down the Multnomah Channel where we saw osprey nesting and we also stopped to explore some islands. We moored for the evening at St. Helen's historic waterfront and had dinner at a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant called the Klondike. As we settled into our bunks for the night, Scovare gently rocked us to sleepa perk that doesnt cost anything extra. The next day, sailing was wonderful when mother nature was cooperating! You can learn a thing or three while helping to rig and fly the spinnaker and then take in the scenery as you're being silently propelled by every wisp of wind. When you work up your appetite again, Shane can grill a really mean salmon steak that hits the spot! View Less … View More
A wonderful time. I just took my first sail with Scovare and it won't be my last. My friends and I had a wonderful time on a Wednesday night dinner cruise. The food was good, the scenery lovely and service fantastic. You can help with the sailing if you want, or just sit back and relax. I am already thinking about when we can go again!
