Editorial Review for Hotel deLuxe – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Originally built in 1912, the former Hotel Mallory was reborn as the Hotel deLuxe in 2006. The refurbished lobby is both modern and reminiscent of the hotel's 10-decade history. The sumptuous lobby features golden carpet, art deco sharkskin lamps and mid-century rotary phones on the tables. Large black-and-white movie stills line the hallways. The guestrooms, painted in sunny goldenrod, feature HDTVs, Wi-Fi, MP3 docking stations and play lists, bathrobes and menu of pillow choices.

I stayed at Hotel deLuxe for 4 nights and loved every minute of my stay. The decor was wonderfully clever and of high quality with a twist on old Hollywood. Comfortable, clean and beautiful rooms. The service was excellent and every member of the staff that I met was incredibly helpful and eager to please. I'm surprised that the rates are not higher, and would recommend taking advantage while this lasts! Fantastic hotel, and I will definitely stay here again and again.
Pros: Stunning hotel, such fun, fantastic service, lovely dinning room, great bar too!
Cons: None

I paid $120/nt! WOW any other city this would be $300/nt +tx . Unique boutique style hotel with superb decor and service. Nearly super location, a little out of DT but still very accessible to all that DT has to offer. Very very clean and quiet. Yes the room is a little small with a huge bed. But what does one need with huge hotel rooms? The view is good from the top story and the elevators fast. Driftwood room does what Doug Fir Lounge only wishes it had: real soul.
Pros: Location, value, room quality
Cons: bathroom ventilation
