My husband and I recently moved to Portland and have a wonderful new home to decorate. We purchased two carpets from Brian and Rebecca at Kush. The reason I describe Kush as perfection is the combination of quality, integrity, and service. It’s rare. During the sale process they worked with us to answer questions and join us in the adventure of picking out two rugs to bring home. Also rare, no attitude. Part of the process is to bring home a few choices and live with them for a few days. A great thing to do in evaluating what will really work in your home. A month after purchasing and living with our carpets we had a few maintenance questions. Rebecca was at our house and walked us through the information that we needed. Very rare to get service on that level. If you have wood floors and are looking for a wonderful carpet(s) that are actually a unique piece of art, visit Kush.
Pros: All good
Cons: None

Not only is this a beautiful space in which to shop, but their selection is ever-expanding. I challenge someone to go through the stacks here and not find something to take home. The customer service is excellent, and they are very understanding that these are major purchases that should be thought through. They will help you get what you really want with no pressure at all. Surprising perhaps to some is that this place is kid-friendly -- the owners know how a rug REALLY gets used and they aren't afraid! Also notable is their dedication to sound practices, such as child-labor-free handmade inventory. I have 4 pieces from this store, from small to large, and I adore each one. Shopping here makes me feel special, and the feeling continues with the rugs in my home.
Pros: kid friendly, good service, good selection
Cons: most of us can't afford to take them ALL home
