PiRem has now got new owners, and has always been a great place to enjoy music, art, and great beer, including organic ales! It's a classy feel, yet relaxed. It will now be called Groove Suite, and the new owners are great people with a strong sense of public appeal, so more great things await here at 440 NW Glisan, one of my favorite spots for nightlife in Portland! Also, Housecall will now be here on Wednesdays, and I have been an attendee of Housecall for almost 4 years now! It will be a choice spot to hold this weekly!

This place has a pretty warm, cosy & inviting atmosphere - good selection of beers/wine, nice bartenders and always some good DJ spinning or playing some really cool live music. They need to update their listing though - they are open on wednesday and thursday nights too. Looks like they want to keep it a secret or something.

I recently moved to oldtown & decided to go here on saturday night after following some recommendations. It took me a while to find it & could not believe that there was a club inside the office building. However, when I entered the basement, I felt like I was transported out of Portland. The place is beautiful & the wine excellent & inexpensive. The DJ was mind-blowing & the sound quality was the nicest I've heard around here. There is no smoking allowed - a refreshingly welcome concept. Now that I've found it, I'll be back!
