Gorgeous suits to fit anyone's style.. I am retracting my previous negative comment about Popina, after returning to the shop today to purchase another swimsuit. The owner (I believe) was gracious enough to give me a replacement bikini bottom and discussed the issues she faces with trying to find material that can withstand the effects of chlorine better. After searching for swimsuits in other stores, I cannot find any that are as flattering and beautiful as these suits.

BEST EVER!!!. I ordered one of the one pieces online. AMAZING! This is the best I've felt about wearing a bathing suit in years. Last year I had a baby and my body looks really rough...this suite makes it ravishing. I'm going to spread the news to all my mommy friends down here in Austin, TX!!!

You CAN love swimsuit shopping at Popina's, It's wife tested, husband approved!. I had spent a harrowing day trying to get ready for my upcoming Caribbean trip. The suit I received from Land's End the night before was frumpy. I tried on the five that were my size at Nordstrom and Macy's. They were all about trying to look like a Barbie in a swimsuit. They were boring and expensive. I wanted something that said "I am here to have a good time and l just happen to look good doing it" My husband, always the helpful guy, found Popina (aka Poppi) online and sent me straight from the mall to the cute boutique space. I walked in the door, saw the unique fabrics and knew that so long as they weren't trying to fit thimbles, I would find my suit there.

Candace was super helpful and made me feel like my womanly figure was no problem at all to fit. I tried on over 15 suits that she brought me! We had fun, she was honest about what looked good and when I needed to try the bigger or smaller size. She even insisted I'm not chubby but rather voluptuous.

The beauty of Popina's retro styling is that it takes the advantages of modern day fabric and combines it with really adorable styles. The suit I found, a Retro Sadie, fits comfortably, is sufficiently modest, is cute AND IT MAKES ME LOOK HOT!

And then, I found ANOTHER SUIT! And it was cute and hot too! The bottoms that went with the takini weren't super flattering, so I ordered a custom drawstring bottom that I found actually slimmed my least favorite part of my belly. Candace and Pamela made ordering super easy and made it sound like they would just whip up my suit. It's awesome knowing that I'm supporting a local women's business.

Then, the best part... I took the suits home and my husband thought they were cute too! He was proud to have referred me there, and thought the price tag was super reasonable for what I got. I will take every girlfriend who needs a suit there first. Popina's is the SOURCE.

the best swimsuit experience ever!. For someone who is "body conscious" I must say that I will never buy a bathing suit anywhere else. The suits are adorable, and they were able to make the style in the specific color I wanted. The environment was so great that I came out into the store from the dressing room to show the associate how I looked in the suit. I want to thank this shop for making the first suit I've ever felt cute in.

Swimsuits for all shapes and sizes that are cute, fun, and affordable!. Just wanted to say THANK YOU! My hub and I came to your store yesterday and it is WONDERFUL. The young woman working was incredibly helpful, friendly, and patient. After swimsuit shopping for a month now (because I didn't know about you!), I was afraid I was NEVER going to find what I wanted. Then my husband "googled" old-fashioned swimsuits and found you! I would have been THRILLED to find one suit I loved! I was BOGGLED to find five or six and not be able to decide! I love my new "Shirley" suit. I went with the orange/pink and will be ordering a black one very shortly as well.

YOU ROCK and I'll be telling everyone I know to come and see you!

Unique swimsuits!. You'll find the coolest swimsuits around at this great little boutique. The retro styles are flattering and fun, and if something doesn't fit just right it can be customized! I found the perfect little two piece suit here and can't wait to go back for a one piece!

Modern Locally Designed Swimwear With A Retro Flair: For Ladies Only. Buying a bathing suit can be a painful and depressing experience. Poppi Swim and Sport makes it fun. The retro inspired bathing suits can be custom made to fit your body type, and you can choose from a wide assortment of patterns and colors.

I was impressed with the woman who helped me choose a bikini style. I wanted some modifications: I am petite, but a 34DD. I had my halter top custom made. The price was quite reasonable: the top was about $20, and the cost to have it custom made was about the same.

I have introduced several friends to Poppi, and each time I bring one, I find another bathing suit to buy. Here is the two cents of the friend I took today:

OK, I am a self-avowed swimsuit freak. I even like suits with cutouts and rhinestones! I prefer two piece suits to one piece suits, as I have an extremely long torso. I'm small on top (32B) and small to medium in the hip region. I ended up with a bottom that was low-waisted, boy cut short, but which gathers on the side, so you can hike it up or down your hip and thigh, and tie it where you like it. I got a skimpy little matching bandeau top. It was on sale, because apparently most customers found it too skimpy. I really like the way my suit, esp the bottom, fits and looks. I will say that I also liked the one piece suits, but the boy leg styles I found less flattering on me -- plus I would have had to wait to custom order one with 2-3 extra inches in the torso length!

We noticed Poppi-designed bikinis encourage the showing of your beautiful bod, they're not made for maximum coverage. You do have options, though. You can get a tankini top to cover the tummy, you can get a boy leg bottom, classic bikini bottom, or a low cut wide bikini bottom. Or the adjustable boy leg like I got. The boy leg styles are good for people who don't like to wax the bikini line. Please know however, that where Poppi is concerned, boy leg does not equal tomboy. These bottoms are sassy and not meant to hide your assets.

A Swimming Suit You'll Love to Wear!. Every single suit in the shop is stylishly retro and made to cover a real womans butt. And if you dont find one that fits, theyll custom make one for you! At a very reasonable price, I might addtotally in line with what you would pay at a department store, but made locally instead of by serfs in China. In fact, the suits are very, very locally made. As I was trying on suits the owner, Pamela, was clacking merrily away on a sewing machine, seaming up a top.
