Horrible and overpriced. Was charged 40 for a hair cut I had to fix myself when I got home. Uneven in front, sides, and back. Didn't use clippers to buzz back of neck. Worse than Great Clips.

I just had THE best haircut EVER!!. Today I used a Groupon for a massage and a haircut and was VERY happy. The massage worked out the kinks from my overstressed muscles & felt fabulous. The massage therapist was very knowledgeable and applied the perfect pressure. The massage room was a kick - very theatrical. Not my usual but I enjoyed every minute.

After getting destressed and relaxed I headed upstairs to the salon. The place was crazy busy & I had a bit of a wait. That was okay by me since it gave me time to look around and people watch (& it's just wrong to be in a hurry when you're there to relax and enjoy anyway). The stylist kept checking on me and making sure I was okay and gave me some hair magazines to thumb through. I had no idea what to do with my hair but as it turned out, she did and the magazines were not needed.

Let's just say my hair is insane. It's wavy as you would not believe, humidity is not my friend (think Monica from 'Friends' - you know the scene), I have a ton of hair (I can't wear hats - my hair doesn't fit in them) & I was about 2-3 months overdue for a haircut. It was a good time for a change & I was happy to let my stylist decide. She was ready to cut my hair how I wanted but let's face it - I'm not the professional and she looks at face shapes, different hair types and so on just about every day. I was happy to let her help me.

I was lucky enougth to get the owner Jerri. She was GREAT!! I had THE BEST haircut I have ever had - & I've been to some pretty fancy places & paid a lot of money over the years. Jerri put movement in the back of my hair (I've never seen that before) and made my hair seem NORMAL. She had to cut a lot of hair off to do it (remember, I haven't had a haircut since December so yes, it had to be done) so I went on the REVOLUTION DIET (Jerri's catchy phrase - wish I had heard about it before I starved myself. Could have eaten that piece of cake last night and not worried about it since I just lost 5# off my head.) I can't wait to see the wash & wear. Normally the only time I see my hair looking perfect is right after I leave the salon. Jerri asked questions about my daily routine, how often I wash, what my time schedule was, etc. I was honest and admitted I wash and leave, occasional flat iron, etc. With this information & my willingness to see what she had to offer, I'm pretty sure that this new cut is going to be able to keep up with my carefree daily neglect as well as meet the challenge when I need it to look a little more professional or dressy. Jerri and Revolution are now on my speed dial.

I was lucky enough to get Jerri but I have to say, every woman that walked out of that salon had great looking hair. I didn't see a single cut or color that I didn't think looked amazing on that person. I think no matter who you get in that salon, you will get a great cut.

Why did I give 5 stars when I had a couple of "cons"? I said "small". Yes, it could use a few more waiting chairs. But the atmosphere would not be the same if it were bigger. It was a very friendly group that worked there and you could tell they were close. Not sure that would be the same in a bigger place. I also said "not a lot of parking". Even so I found a parking space right out front.

I saw a lot of people in there that were talking to the stylists like they had known them for years. That's good!! It means they come back time after time and are happy with their services. Definately a "Cheers" type of feel.

Open your mind, accept the place for what it is and accept a little help from the stylists on how your next cut should be. Be honest on your lifestyle and your needs and no doubt you'll find a Revolution of your own.

Groupon brought me in. Was NOT what I was expecting or hoping for. First off a place that doesn't have pictures of the inside of their business is a little sketchy to begin with - but I wanted to be pampered so I went for it.*Well it wasn't worth my $49 purchase for the Groupon. It was for a $105 worth of services that I know I could have received the same level of competency at a Super Cuts.

The place is REALLY tiny - and very dirty. I saw hair and dirty just about everywhere, from the walls to the display cases covered in dust and hair. I saw one of the stylist barefoot and one of the others went out to smoke and came back in, didn't bother to wash her hands and went back to work on some other client. Oh - that just screams professional! And to charge $105 for a hair cut/wash and dry..in this kind of environment and ability is crazy. My hair cut it uneven and despite me telling her what I wanted, apparently she didn't want to listen or know how to do what I asked because this cut will need to be properly fixed now. Thanks for wasting my money.

Amazing place to get a relaxer. I have been getting my hair relaxed for quite some time, and usually it was never done quite right, or the price was just a little too much. I found Revolution Salon through a friend, and it turned out that they did relaxers! I have been getting my hair relaxed at Revolution by Diana for the last two years and I couldn't be more satisfied. It's quick and easy, totally within my price range, and I leave every time with straight AMAZING hair.

It's also a great place for a cut and color. When my mom was on the lookout for a new salon I took her to Revolution, she was instantly hooked. She has always left with the most amazing color, and always fun and exciting new hair cuts.

If you want great color, awesome haircuts, and amazing relaxers this is the place to go!

this is a really special place. i've had many excellent experiences in this little gem of a of a salon. from tanning, to hair cut - color- and styling, to mani / pedi and facial, this is an exceptional place to come and relax, and be pampered. enjoy!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. I just barely got back from getting my hair done and I am soooo pleased!!! I have never loved my style this much before. Sophia was my stylist and she did a great job. She listened to what I wanted and she did exactly that. I was super nervous to cut my long hair and to see someone new since I just moved from Salem, but I am so happy! I highly recommend Revolution to everyone!!! You will NOT be disappointed!! Thank you Sophia!!! Also, thank you Jerri for being so helpful and friendly! I will definitely be back!!

The "total package" is right here!. I've had many services done here: facial, massage, waxing, spray tanning and mani-pedi. I always come home refreshed and pretty! The staff are wonderful and so much fun. I am totally loving their new exercise studio and am so happy it's there! I'm in their morning fitness bootcamp and have taken several dance/cardio classes. The instructors are inspriring and fun. I would strongly encourage anybody to go and try it out, no experience needed!

If You Love Your Hair- You Will Go Nowhere Else But Here!. I moved to Portland about a year ago, and any woman knows the hair concern... Now who will do my hair? Well, after much online searching, I came across Revolution-so I decided to drive and see what hair-hope I could find. I LOVE the environment, style, and character that the staff brings to the shop. I visit every month or so and always love my hair. Not only do I love my hair- but all I see are smiles and laughter from other customers in the rest of the shop also. Jerri and Dianna are hillarious and very helpful with any crazy question I come up with. I love to do drastic changes to my hair, and Dianna pulls it off perfectly every single time. Not only is the cut, color, and style great; but their motto is, "if you leave and decide it's not right-call us and we'll have you back in to fix it". I can't say enough- and you wouldn't want to read my ramble all day anyways! You will be happy and love your service here, so give them a call and get in to check it out (just don't take my spot next month!). Thanks Ladies, You all Rock!!

They do GREAT eyebrows!. I love this place! I am neurotically picky about my eyebrows and no matter how much I ever explain to people how I want them, they never get it right, except here! The really take the time to do what I want and do it the right way. I love them!

My Best Salon Experience Ever!. Hi! My name is Butterfly and after my experience at Revolution, I am a happy camper! I moved to Portland about a year ago and unfortunately my hair stylist search has ended in one disaster after the next. Not to mention a few tears and a hole in my wallet. In desperation I decided to try one last place before chopping my locks completely off. I randomly chose Revolution, well maybe not totally random, I thought the name was cool.

Well, I am happy to say that my experience ROCKED!!

Jerri Kicks so much butt!

Not only did she give me the hottest hair cut I have ever received, but the color turned out perfect! I have black hair, and time after time I ask stylist to add some purple or something fun, but it never turns out. Well Jerri succeeded! Two months later, my color is still shining! (time for a root touch)

I have no clue what those other reviews are about-- someone just having a bad day I suppose. I think that Jerri is a talented artist, and fun to talk to as well. I seriously can't believe how amazing my hair looks!

I have gotten so many compliments on the cut and the color.

Jerri you Rock my socks!!
