Excellent food, bad prices, horrible atmosphere. The food is excellent, the staff is nice, they stopped charging for rice, and they got new tables - go there!!

AMAZING FOOD, WARM FRIENDLY SERVICE. This Place is amazing. My mom and I have become regulars, and trust us when we say the food is authentic as we are worldly travelers who have tasted many types of food on our tounges. Our favorite dishes are the "Paneer tikka masala" , and the "mataar paneer" (ask for a bit of cream in it if you do not want it spicy). The garlic naas is hot and fresh with just the right amount of garlic. The spices and flavors are just right, and dont forget the free chai, that by the way tastes exactly like the chai i had on the streets of india. The service is impeccible, and not snobby at all, the owner will most likely serve you or say hi at one point, he is so nice! I recently read a review in the oregonian about this resteraunt that said the food had "no" flavor at all. well obviously this guy either has no taste buds in his poor little mouth, or he is a complete idiot. I am going to vote more for number 2. go try this place for yourself and dont bother listening to some stuck up, idiotic a** who calls himself a reviewer. I will be a customer for life here, so what are you waiting for, get your butt down there and get ready for the best food ever!

Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum I am so full!!. The most delicious wraps ever! I had the lamb Seekh wrap. It is spicy, juicy, savory and huge. You could easily split it and if you don't... you'll eat the whole thing. I just did and that last soaked delicious bite was so damned good....man. Go THERE!!!! THe free chai tea is delicious too.

Great Prices--free chai w/ your meal. Great Food... Not exactly an ambient romantic place, but if youre hungry, and you want real Pakistani/Indian food...this is the place. THe prices are very fair, and the owner is super friendly--came to us with a smile and greeted us. Try the Chicken Tikka masala with rice. The samosas are very good too and good portioned. The naan is really good too..soft and served warm--much better than India House. I will go back for sure.

Best Pakistani/Indian Food in the Williamette Valley. Coming from the sub continent and having grown up on rich, aromatic and spicey cooking, K2 Kebab scores big on all accounts. This is not a fancy place and it will not provide you with polished service and atmosphere. What you be assured of is quite simply the best Pakistani/North Indian Food I have ever had in Oregon and one of the two best I have had in the US.

North Indian and Pakistani Cuisine is very similar. Rich gravies with Chicken or lamb, crispy-soft Naan. But if there is any dish that comes out of that area that stands out it is the Biryani. Though not very well known in the US, Biryani is hands down the most popular, the most complex dish to come out of the Indian Sub Continent. Tracing its origins from the saffron and meat based rice dishes from persia, the Biryani is the de-facto king of Indian Cuisine. The problem with the Biryani is that it is a very complicated dish to make and not well suited for a restaurant. So the Best biryani gets made at Home and specialist Biryani restaurants back in the sub continent.

Portland Oregon, I am please to announce that K2 Kebab has the first Biryani that I have eaten in the US that is worth a recommedation. Its is their best dish and probably their technique is a well kept secret.

Among Otehr dishes, the Achar Gosht (pickled Lamb), The Naan and The PalaaK Gosht (Spinach Lamb) are worth the try. Their Chicken Tikka is great too.

This is an honest ethusiastic review from someone who has been frustrated by the mediocre fare that gets labelled as Indian food. This is the real deal. I hope this place can keep their quality up and continue to serve this food. As a previous reviewer said, I must tell my mom about this place too ;-)

Enjoy

Maybe if a food cart is just too déclassé.... I can only speak for lunch specials and take-out, but I was disappointed enough that I won't come back to find out more. We paid too much for absurdly small portions (i.e. the tiki masala chicken consisted of three thin slivers) and sides that ranged from bland to bad. We came based on such rave reviews that you'll find here, but we left from just another watered-down, overpriced restaurant that has become typical of expecting 'authentic ethnic food' on, of all places, upper Hawthorne. Take this for what it is, but I'd rather order two satisfying lunch specials at an Indian food cart for the price of the one entree I'd eat in that dreary K2 Kebab.

Excellent food, great prices, friendly staff. Although I have only eaten here twice, so far I have been quite impressed and satisfied with the food and service at K2 Kebab. Try their chai--it is delicious!

I am grateful this place is just across the street from me as I will be a frequent customer.

No frills atmosphere with outstanding Middle Eastern cuisine. I've eaten at most of the hyped Indian restaurants in town, but none have come close to tasting as good as K2 Kebab. I highly recommend their samosas, chicken tikka masala, and mutter paneer. Keep in mind, this place is not going for aesthetics when it comes to atmosphere, but if you like Indian food, you won't care after you've tried theirs. The prices are also extremely fair for the quality of food.
