bad service. We went to the Sandy location. Bad service bad bad bad. Food was cold, old beans. Slow to get food. Hard to get drinks. Was overcharged. The bathroom had no paper products. How do they wash and dry their hands???? How clean is your food?? Bathroom floor dirty. Food was not good enough to give my dog. Never going back. Won't waste our time in the other location either. Take lots of tums with you. No alcohol in drinks. Guess they make more money that way. At least you can't get a DUII from there  View Less View More

Seems to be over its problems. Powell & Foster location: My wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight and we were floored by the great food. The menu claims "the best mole" and they delivered. The Mole was rich, with a full cinnamon flavor that I'd never experienced before. My wife got the camarones a la diabla - also excellent. The sauce was almost a Mexican sweet & sour flavor. The margarita didn't taste like pure mix and the waiter was friendly without being cloying.

Maybe it had a bad run, going by the other reviews, but the ingredients were fresh and flavorful! We'll be going back soon.  View Less

lame. Location on SE Powell near 48th Ave. Went in for lunch around 1:30. Thought it odd that we were the only customers. My taco came with a tomato slice on top with white fuzz growing on it. Smelled like mold, tasted like mold. I was stunned. Also had to inquire where my quacomole was which I had ordered extra. Waitress inquired wasn't it on top and acted as if we were trying to pull a fast one. She took her time finishing up something else she was doing and meandered back to the kitchen to confer with the chef. She finally brought a side of quacomole 4 or 5 minutes later and after we had consumed over half our meal. Then the bill was about .75 too much. Content to leave only .25 tip, I figured I saved about .50 since I would have left $1.5 on the total tab which was $14.00. So I spent $14.25 whereas if everything had been on the up and up I would have left $1.5 tip on a rightful tab of 13.25 which would have cost me $14.75. By the time I figured the cost of alka-seltzer for my sluggishness and headache later I probably did not save much of the .50 cents! Bon appetit'!  View Less View More

Bummer. Another review for the new Powell location. I wanted to LOVE the new mexican restaurant in our neighborhood, but I was actually disgusted by it. The carnitas tasted like it was cooked last week and stored in an old musty fridge until today, and the pinto beans were severely fermented... they tasted like a 9-volt battery. It did look great, however, and the guacomole was OK. Nice people, too, which makes it all the more difficult to write such a bad review.  View Less View More
