Authentic and awesome!. Drove by over and over, finally stopped, not expecting too much from a strip-mall eatery. Wow - authentic, friendly, clean, quick - but most of all, so darn good tasting that we went back the very next day! They remembered us, what we ordered and where we sat. I suspect they have a lot of "regulars" from watching the patrons order without looking at the menu. The pad thai was seasoned perfectly, tempura vegetables to die for. It doesn't hurt to have such nice, efficient employees who are probably the family that owns Vi Thai. This and Nicholas are our 2 favorite Gresham area restaurants.

LOVE!!!. Since I can't afford to eat at the more expensive Thai restaurant in town very often (you know who you are!), I've been on the hunt for a new Thai place. Vi Thai is close to my home and job, and I took a friend there for lunch one day, since hubby isn't very adventurous with new restaurants. We were seated, placed our orders and were served- all within 15 minutes- important when it's your lunch hour. I had the yellow curry with chicken, my all time fav, and my friend had the chicken pad thai. My yellow curry was excellent, definitely on par with that other place. My friend really enjoyed her pad thai as well. I have gone back several times since (I can't get enough of that yellow curry!) Most of the items on the lunch menu are $6.50, and the dinner menu starts at $8.50. The service is always prompt and friendly and the quality is consistent. The only area that leaves a little to be desired in my opinion, is the sometimes cheesy music. Last time I was there, there was an Asian inspired remix of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads." No kidding.

Below Average. We are HUGE Pho eaters and after moving to Gresham, where happy to learn of this place. My wife ordered their beef noodle pho and I ordered their pad thai (we like to share). Both were horrible. If you want better pho, please try Pho Van or Pho Hung in Portland.

The Best Salad Rolls. Vi Thai has the best salad rolls I've ever tried, plus they give 6 of them! The fish sauce is great too.

VI THAI!!
VI THAI....my friend you like Vi Thai? It's a song i made up, my wife hates it.
nevermind, but this is THE thai food in Gresham...best I've had....watch out because they can make it hella spicy if you want. i only venture to 3 spicy....they have up to 5...then you have to sign a waiver if you want the atomic stuff that burns your tongue. you know it's authentic when the waitress has english as second language.
I always go for the crunchy noodles, and they never disappoint.
VI THAI, VI THAI...u gotta try Vi Thai!
