Butchers of Beaverton! Stay away! I took my 15 year old son, who likes to wear his hair long, for a trim and styling. We specifically told Jenny that he likes it long but it desperately needed styling and wanted her to show him how to style straight his curly hair. She offered to take off 1 inch. Jenny proceeded to butcher his hair. His curly bangs that stretched down to his nose were now reduced to cut to almost 2 inches above his eyebrows!! We protested and she said there is not a whole lot she can do now. I stayed calm so not to get him upset. In all of my years, I have never seen such a horrible haircut and total disregard for what we requested. Jenny cut off nearly 3-4 inches. When I realized that there was nothing I could do after we got home, I called and complained. I waited several hours to hear from Jill the manager who proceeded to tell me that it was a miscommunication and that Jenny did what we wanted. How does Jenny asking if 1 inch is good out of her own mouth translate to 3-4 inches? Worse yet, he went to school and everyone made fun of him. Oh and the overpriced haircut for a boy was $35. I tried to get him back in to see if they could figure out some style and my son refuses to go back in. We are doing family pictures next week in Hawaii that I might as well cancel.
Holly is amazing!. Holly is the most amazing aesthetician. She is such a nice person and puts you at ease no matter what treatment she is performing. I highly recommend her!
Best haircut I can remember. Mark really understood how to cut my hair, even though my hair is pretty hard to cut (really thick, slightly wavy). He did exactly what I asked for and really knew what he was doing. As a plus, he was also super nice. They charged me less than I would have been charged other places (salons normally try to jack up the prices and say it's because I have thick hair) and I will definitely be going back!
Mark is Wonderful. Dropped in to Rain Aveda for a haircut on Saturday. Told the receptionist that my hair doesn't do anything but I wanted it like the picture in my hand and she suggested Mark saying he was real good. I had to come back in a couple hours for the appointment but it was so worth the wait. He listened, he knew exactly what I wanted, he was very cool and friendly. When he was done I couldn't believe not only how wonderful the cut was but how beautifully he made it suit my face. I was so nervous about getting it cut at all, but today everyone at work has been commenting about how beautiful, how stylish, how good I look! I couldn't be happier and now I have a new stylist!
Horrible Haircut and Customer Service!. Had a horrible hair cut here by Alissa. I'm not usually one to complain, but they called me to follow up on my experience and ask how my hair cut was. I kindly explained that the hair cut wasn't at all what I had asked for. I wanted a trim, taking off the least amount as possible and no extra layering. I got the opposite. At one point during the hair cut, I did question Alissa how much she was cutting off, and she chuckled and said "are you getting nervous?" It was my first time seeing her, and I felt like she was distracted the entire time, gazing out the window, yanking incredibly hard while washing my hair etc. What was more disappointing was the customer service after they had called me to ask about the hair cut. The receptionist was very defensive of Alissa. I simply asked for my $35 back. I was told that if I wanted my money back, I would have to come back to the salon, and they would evaluate whether my haircut was "that bad". I explained I didn't live close to the salon, and didn't want to return, so I was told that to get my money back, I would have to speak with the manager, and that I needed to call back when she was working. I called several times during the next few weeks, in which the manager was never available. I finally gave up, its not worth my time, but I would advise others to go elsewhere. The customer service and hair cut is not worth it.

My daughter decided to spoil me with a trip to the neighborhood salon.
When we showed up everything seemed nice enough... but that didn't last long. Half way through my very thick hair coloring, the receptionist starts harping at my stylist about the schedule. Then claiming to me, that we didn't book the right "type" of appt for what I wanted (which was odd since we called and said we didn't know what we wanted - color and cut at least but maybe some highlights) and basically making me feel like I was taking too long. To the point where I didn't even want them to dry & style my hair let alone cut it. I just wanted out of there. My daughter also having felt like she wasn't treated very well decided to talk to the manager/co-owner.
What a waste of time!
Not sure how any business owner can exist today who doesn't understand the meaning of Customer Service. She was insincere, non-empathic and really could not have cared less that we had both just had a negative experience in her salon. When I said we probably wouldn't come back to this salon, she said "eh ok".
Then to top it all off... I get home and brush my wet hair out to check out the color... AND I CAN SEE ROOTS AT MY BANGS! I just paid $100 to have roots showing??
Went back and my stylist apologized and corrected it. The owner though... her response was well you need to get that fixed. No Duh lady!
Adrianna was a great stylist and friendly person.
The rest of the team, environment, receptionist and co-owner were AWFUL. Avoid this place!
Rain Salon - Tonya. I've been going to Rain for a few years and have tried multiple hair stylists there. I always liked the convienence of the location to where I lived but was never overly impressed until I found Tonya. Now I refuse to go to anyone else. She knows exactly what to do and how to do it. I've always been afraid to have new people touch my hair. She always makes me feel comfortable and really listens to what it is that I want done, and even gives me new ideas on styling. I always leave there feeling great.
Rain Salon. I had a haircut a few weeks ago. It looked ok at the time but without my glasses on. But when I got home I was greatly disappointed. I've had better cuts at GreatClips. Can't even give the Salon one star but have to, to post my rating :(

OK, I finally found someone who did great color and an awesome cut & now she's gone. Anyone know where Kristin from Rain went to? I swear, this is the 4th person I've gone to at this salon - and she was the best.
Tip: if you ever get your hair done here and you like who you went to, get their name and phone number because they'll probably be leaving!!! UGH!!!

I am wondering where this Hair Stylist moved off too? She cut my hair last time, and it was perfect! I called in to make another appointment with her, and the receptionist said she was gone, :(
