Do not use him or his wife.

Be prepared to fight for your money back!

Please note my RATING for this co. is -0 but this is not an option available here. I contracted with Aloha Pool & Spa located on Alexander St .( please note this co. is listed both on Alexander Street and on Shaw St. but the co. is still Aloha Pool & Spa Repair) in May of 2008 to get a new pool liner and sand filter pump installed. I paid the money up front (gigantic mistake). After 3 months of trying to work with Mr. S. and getting nothing but excuses as to why the job was not done and trying everything including mailing registered letters demanding my money back nothing worked. Phone calls where not returned either. I then decided I would file any city and state complaints against this co. in hopes of getting help. Most of the complaints are still in the reviewing stages but I still decided I was NOT going to let this co. keep my money without a fight! I am now taking this co. into the court system in hopes of getting my money returned. It is a time consuming process but I believe that no customer should have to put up with a co. that wants to keep their money without providing the services that were contracted for without a fight. Please take note that this can happen to you if and when you use this co.
- Pros: Absolutely none!
- Cons: Excuses for everything, takes your money, no service
Stay away from Aloha Pool and Spa Repair

First mistake was not knowing about City Search when needing pool repair work done. We called Aloha Pool and Spa Repair abt. 6-19-2007. The owner came to our home, gave bid of $3300. for heavy duty pool liner, sand filter & hauling away old liner. Also do some sanding & patching on pool sides. Second mistake, writing check for full amount right then. He tool old liner away. Couple weeks later employee came on 2 eves. set up new sand filter. In July, owner, Mr. S. came & sanded once. We called in late July to ask about new liner. Mr. S. said the number on old liner could be 1 of 2 diff. pool shapes. He'd seen our pool, had old liner! He said man who knew right number. was in hosp. with heart attack. Finally we were told liner was ordered. When liner was ready to be delivered to us Mr. S. said his employee was in an altercation w/police, the liner was in employee truck but had disappeared. Employee said he hadn't picked it up, company who made liner said it had been picked up. 8-8 Mr. S. came & sanded for couple of hours. Mr. S's son witnessed some crime & had to talk to police so he, Mr. S. couldn't deliver liner. Mr. S. said it had to be 80 deg. to install liner. On 8-16 he said liner was ready to be delvd. & he'd be here in 2 days. We called him on 8-20 to find out why no liner. Said he'd had to go to doctor, also 2 men hadn't showed up ( helpers maybe?) On a still nice warm Aug. afternoon my husb. went to the business to see why no one was installing liner, were told by Mr. S. he was waiting for his son to get off the phone. Each excuse was more proposterous than one before. This went on till first week in Sept. when my husb. told Mr. S. to NEVER come around again, he was tired of their lies. We were out rest of money. Husb. called Pool World. They came out in less than a week & on a not even close to 80 deg. drippy day they installed new liner in a few hours. We of course paid them. If you value your wallet & sanity do NOT call Aloha Pool and Spa Repair.
- Pros: Can't think of one except a good object lesson
- Cons: Most unreliable business we've delt with in 50+ years
