My husband just received his scooter yesterday. We couldn't be more happy with the service ! Brian was so helpful and caring. The woman I talked with on the phone was friendly and helpful also. Our insurance company uses United Seating & Mobility and we are glad they do!
Dangerous Repairs and VERY Poor
service.
They came out and repaired my mothers power chair. They installed a new foot rest that was SLIPPERY. She fell off the chair multiple times. She called them on Friday and they never did return her call. On Monday, someone from mom's care center called them (United Seating) and their response was that the care giver had to install non-slip pads on the foot rest.
I would NEVER recommend this company. STAY AWAY.
Customer Service that only the Cable Companies can match!. Their service was terrible. Initially, we were visited by a sales rep very quickly. That is where the good ends. We waited months to get a spec on the wheelchair, they never billed the insurance, we were made promises that were never met. What response we did get was when we called and bugged them. They never called us to give us any status updates. The last straw was when we were told something they promised us was just a courtesy, so we shouldn't be upset that they couldn't do it. Then the sales rep never called us back. I strongly recommend going somewhere else, as that is what we are doing!
Very Bad Customer Service. I was in need of a motorized scooter and was referred to United Seating & Mobility. Because of my condition, I have a financial rep (POA) who deals with most of my needs and communication. He dealt with United Seating & Mobility and was given such bad service that we chose to purchase a scooter from another company. United Seating & Mobility just never returned his messages. He would leave them numerous messages but would never get a response. I even ran into the sales rep at a rehab center and asked him to call us back...that never happened either. For some reason they don't respond to the customers the way that they should. Anyways, I ended up buying a scooter from their competitor for several hundred $ less and was given much, much better service. Do your research on companies...service and price...and don't just go to a place that you were told to go to. There are better places to go in PDX for a motorized scooter than United Seating & Mobility.
Extremely Poor Customer Service. United Seating & Mobility displayed the worst customer service that I have ever experienced at any store or organization ever. It was disturbing how poor the customer service was on all levels. They failed consistently, over and over, to return my phone calls or messages, always having one excuse after another why they couldn't just pick up the phone and return the message. If the service was this poor even BEFORE I purchased it, I can just imagine how bad it would have been afterwards when / if I needed additional service. Just as important, their prices for motorized scooters are much, much higher than their competitors (Do some competitive shopping...you'll see). For example, the same scooter that I was going to purchase at U S & M was over $400 cheaper at Care Medical...and the service at Care Medical was a thousand times better than U S & M. Do yourself a favor and buy your scooter elsewhere. U S & M seems to not understand the nature of business...customer service is crucial and if not given respectively will lose them a sale. Based on my experience with U S & M, I strongly recommend that you go to another seller of scooters where you will get the service and respect that you deserve as the customer. Again, this is based upon my direct experience with United Seating & Mobility and I will never recommend them to anyone, ever.
