Fantastic Wine Selection; Great Prices. The wine universe can be daunting. Exploration can result in delightful surprise, but also disappointment. Until Wine Xng, I'd hedge on the side of caution. Wine Xing's $10 for 10 tasting (you pick from 5 reds and 5 whites that change up from week ro week) has proved an excellent way to survey unknown varietals and blends the world over. And, bottles can be found at a wide price range. The staff is both highly knowlegdeable and delightfull!  View Less View More

Excellent wine, excellent value. WIne Xing isn't the easiest place to find but it's well worth the trip. Eric Bean offers a wide selection of wines, covering a wide price range, from many regions worldwide (except New York!). He provides thought-provoking tasting notes from his personal experience with each wine. Eric is highly knowledgeable about grapes and regions and has never failed to make good recommendations when I've asked for one. He is never pushy, always helpful. Wine Xing's prices are a bit cheaper than most other stores.

I also enjoy the tastings Eric offers on Friday and Saturday. He offers 10 different wines, 5 reds and 5 whites (often one sparkling wine), so I always get to try a bunch of wines I've never encountered before. It's rare that I go home without at least one bottle. The tastings are low-key with plenty of opportunity to pick Eric's brain and exchange opinions. Occasionally Wine Xing offers a special evening tasting event. The one I attended was a lot of fun and worth every penny.

Wine Xing is highly recommended!  View Less

good selection, lousy service. i came into wine xing with my dad a few weeks ago to buy some wine for a party we were hosting. this was not our first time at this store but honestly, it may be my last.

at the time we came in, they were hosting a wine tasting, so i understand that they were busy with the 2 other guests in the tasting room, but we did not even receive a 'hello' from the gentleman pouring (i believe he's the owner). we were literally ignored. i don't expect him to leave what he's doing, but it would have been nice to pop your head out and say something like 'hello folks! look around and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.'

so my dad proceeded to get a cart (we were not planning on only buying one bottle of wine here... as a matter of fact, we ended up buying 10) and we started looking around. this place is crazy unorganized. or i should say, it's unorganized to a customer who had no help from the employees what-so-ever. i looked around for probably 20 minutes before i found the pinot grigos. all this time my dad and i were wandering around the place and NO ONE HELPED US! the owner even came out from the tasting room to help another customer with some wine and again did not inquire how we were doing.

we were tempted to leave our 10 bottles in the cart and go to target down the road where, yes the selection is severely lacking, but i'm positive we'd receive better customer service. unfortunately, the party was starting soon and we didn't have time to go anywhere else.

nothing frustrates me more than people treating their customers poorly. don't you realize we're the ones keeping your small business open?

unless you're content sifting through wine without any help at all, i would suggest trying another wine shop.  View Less

Great selection at super-competitive pricing, knowledgeable & friendly!. Wine Xing has a great array of wine from all over the world. Whatever your tastes, you will find it here. Due to their warehouse-type location, their prices are very low, even beating out big name retailers.

Eric, the proprietor, has an excellent palate and brings in everything from value-priced, great tasting quaffers to break the bank, store in your cellar rarities. Even better, after you attend a few of their Friday and Saturday 10 for $10 tastings, Eric will hone in on your individual tastes and budget and offer suggestions on wines you might like. I've followed his suggestions many times and I've never brought a bottle home I didn't like. Eric is very knowledgeable about wines, regions, and wine-making, and willingly shares this knowledge with anyone who wants to learn. Terrific, knowledgeable, and friendly place to buy wine!  View Less

Excellent selection, very competitive prices & friendly service. I find myself surprised there was no review for WineXing. This is a very nice wine shop...in an out of the way place, but a MUST visit! I attended a tasting last week (Zerba Cellars) & was very impressed how the owners keep up not only their store front, but the website with new wines, vintages, etc. The tastings are very well organized & often a fun learning experience (even if you think you know everything about wine). Their old world selection is very thorough, something here for everyone. I personally prefer Italian & Spainish wines & they always seem to have plenty of selection for both countries, in EVERY price range. Don't get me wrong, I usually spend at least $50-100 on 2-3 bottles, but I am still saving a great deal of cash because they don't gough you on the price-overall. Their downfall: they don't offer case discounts, but if you are interested in trying a nice wine (a bottle at a time) this is a great place to start, including their free Wednesday tasting & weekends 10 for $10... both excellent. I still buy the majority of my wine for the cellar at a few of the competitors (since much of the competition offers 20% off retail for 12+ bottles), but not every place has the great selection wine Xing does!!! Not to mention my favorites: they have a small focus on Pacific NW wines, particularly Washington big reds & great value on some of the harder to find wines. . Owners will also order some wines if you ask... It's a great place to try out some wines & know you will pay under regular retail by a few bucks per bottle!  View Less View More
