I don't get it!.
Despite the recent reports on the 'news' about this place (norovirus), people consistently fill this place. I live about 1 mile from the mall and can't believe how many people love this chain restaurant. That is exactly what it is, just like the Cheesecake Fact, Romano's, MS Grill, etc, etc. Typical of the burbs to have lot of chain restaurants with terrible food. Well, fortunately, there are some 1 of a kind places out there, but why people choose these over -priced chain restaurants is mind boggling me.
These are large corporate restaurants which offer the same food all over the country. And the food is terrible, over sauced, poorly executed and tastes worse than frozen food.
Inconsistent service in a nice package.
Lets just say that the 3rd times a charm and we won't be back.
1st visit I called in a togo order. I arrive, they tell me it'll be ready in 10 minutes, 15 minutes later they can't find the order and tell me I must have called a different location. We verify from my cell phone that I did indeed call them and they messed up. 45 minutes later I finally have my order. The manager apologized, discounted the price, and gave me 2 Free Appetizer coupons.
2nd-I call to make a reservation. It takes 30 minutes on hold to finally spend 5 seconds making the reservation.
3rd-We go 7/27 for our anniversary dinner. Server was sweating profusely and had zero personality. The lettuce wraps were good. The catfish (Hot Fish) was barely detectable under all the glaze/sauce and breading. Food delivery timing was good. However, both my wife and I got a bit sick on Monday and now see on the news that the store closed due to FP for a couple days.
In short: Beauty is ONLY skin deep here.
Mediocre Chinese Food. With the big, giant horses side by side at the door, I thought P.F. Chang's would offer some amazing food. It was a bit disappointed by their average food. The interior was pretty cool, and the staff are pretty nice. However, it's somewhat spendy for the food.
Food mediocre, bar service incredible. P.F Changs in Bridgeport is one of my favorite places to go with friends after work. The food is definitely just mediocre, but the gan bei fries are amazing! If you come in, definitely sit up at the bar. The bartenders are so adorable and incredibly helpful. Come in after eight or so on weekdays and ten on weekends because the place can get pretty packed. Word of advice, avoid the managers. They are annoyingly fake. But over all, great service!!
