Take a nostalgic trip back to that bar in Grandma's basement: old dining room chairs, men playing poker, and blaring TVs.
Sports!. Let's face it, some times you need to go to a bar to watch sports. I mean, I don't have crazy satellite TV, so when I need to watch an out of market game, I try to make it out to Claudia's. Tons of TVs, decent pub grub, and a good tap selection.…
Good place to watch a game. Went here for the Blazers opening playoff game. Food was good (try a pizza), beer was cheap, crowd was pretty cool. It's slightly divey, so wouldn't recommend it if you're into "ultra sports lounges". The best thing about it was the service. They were busy as hell with two servers, and those girls were all over the place. They kept the pitchers coming and were always checking on us and even took time to joke around. The only complaint I had was the audio isn't very good. We were seated right in front of the projection screen but the audio was only audible on the other end of the bar, but its still a good place.…
Oh wow Claudia's Claudia's Claudia's!!!.
Claudia, how do I love thee, let me count the ways...
1. Rad Captain's Chair's at the bar.
2. Big tv's to look at in said Captain's chairs.
3. Cheep beer on tap, not a big selection.
4. Decent canned beer selection.
5. Very, very outstanding pizza. I for sure recco it, any kind any time.
6. Nacho's were fabulous also.
7. Big screen T.V that's hard to see unless you have a good seat, great spot to catch the Blazers.
8. Video addictions.
9. Pool
10. Trophy case with some interesting swag in it.
11. If no Blazers/Beavers/Ducks they have a great selection of NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, NCAA
12. Staff does their job, not great but they get the job done.
We hit-up Claudia's mostly for the Blazers but they put up a Montana v Montana St. game for my friends from Montana so they are really accomodating, just might need to ask them a few times.…
No nonsense bar , Hideaway. This town is getting overcrowded with places that take themselves too seriously, this place is just a bar- plain and simple. My friend and I just wanted a burger and some beer - it was midday on a weekend and we wanted to get away from the fools wandering around on Hawthorne. We decided to take advantage of the ridiculous throne like swivel chairs at the bar, ordered a half pitcher of crappy but ice cold beer and two cheeseburgers. The oscars were on, and so was the game. The bartender gave us what we wanted but pretty much left us alone. The burger was pretty great, the beer utilitarian, the experience near perfect! A perfect place to hideaway, relax and keep it real.…
