This is a chain, but again, location matters to me and this one couldn't be in a better location on Mississippi. The menu is pretty expansive. Good place for kids, bad place for a date.

Plenty of other places to go in Portland. Terrible customer service and way too long of a wait for a take-out order. Called ahead to order, still had to wait a long time. If it's going to take over half an hour, just tell us! Very bad attitude from the woman behind the counter. Plenty of other places to go in Portland, with much more pleasant customer service. The one star is for the food (four stars), minus the bad-attitude woman, who would get minus stars (if that was possible).

The Best!!. I love the food here and have never experienced poor customer service...

Food service is food service, and it's a bummer that the past two reviews have had the same troubles, but they are also the ONLY reviews posted in 2008. I have eaten at many a fine dining restaurants around town and experienced much worse - so I feel as though I owed it to my favorite quick eat on the N side to give them some positive feedback!

The food is always fresh, it's healthy, and it's a nice spin on your usual mexi - I love their salads and their spinach and black bean burrito is delicious...the employees have always been friendly, not to mention the store manager who provides a bit of eye candy :)

Bottom line is this place is great...it's a 1000 times better then any Cha Cha Cha or similar eatery, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty, fresh, quick and healthy food!

hairy experience part two, add laziness. I too had an attack of the greasy haired, bad attitude slacker and another again with rasta girl. The food is really fresh and good (minus the chicken bone in my burrito) but the service people here have had attitude problems (bringing me 10 items, then asking if i needed a bag. when i said yes, leaving the bag on the counter with and attitude and saying "here's your bag" and walking away instead of packing it!!!!??) Come on! Conservation is no excuse for rudeness. I sure hope they change their hiring practices in an otherswise good place.

Hairy Experience. Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience at this establishment. Half way through my burrito I found a hair... and it was in the food in my mouth! Gross! The dude that was making the food looked like he hadn't washed his hair for a few days which just turned my stomach. I told the girl at the counter, who didn't seem to care, so I told the manager and he offered me a cookie. No thanks... I almost tossed mine when I found the hair. Hair net... use them!

Yummy vegetarian food!!!. Quick, cheap, delicious AND vegetarian. When we moved into our new house last year and didn't have any appliances we ate at Laughing Planet every day for about two weeks. Still love the food, love the people and love that it's just down the street from us. We go there about once a week still and are alwyas happy that they have 3 vegan soup options.
