Bridge City has a great selection of books that aren't traditional comics and it feels more like a bookstore than a comic shop. Staff are very knowledgeable and I never leave without having bought something.

Customer Service, What?. So I put a comic on hold on a Friday, over the phone. This comic had just come out and was difficult to find anywhere but due to injuries, I could not pick up the comic until Monday. The clerk assured me this was no problem and that the book had been put away. Monday afternoon, I stroll in after having taken time off work to pick it up, only to be informed by a woman who continually called me "Sister" that they had sold the comic. Apparently they had neglected to date the hold and thus the current clerk had no idea when the hold was from.

She informed me that they "had" to sell it to someone who had a subscription to the series. Why another comic had not already been reserved is yet another example of their irresponsible business practice. I was offered paultry excuses and a promise of a phonecall when the second run came in. Not only did I waste time picking up the comic but I am almost assured of being reduced to ebay to find a copy of the original printing.

This is why hippies should never run businesses.
