All about the color scheme. California Pizza Kitchen Bridgeport Village 7315 SW Bridgeport Rd Portland, OR 97224 Phone: (503) 968-0504 It makes sense this chain started in California not only because of the name but you can see the colors are more in line with sunshine?they really like the color Yellow in CPK. It kind of reminds me of going into Oba with the color scheme they have, which on a cold rainy day in Portland, OR is very nice to see. Portlanders can you feel me on this?

The service was excellent as our waiter Pete from Washington, DC took good care of us. You might ask how I know he?s from DC and it seems that every waiter/waitress wears a name badge and below their name it lists where they were born. Interesting. And cool. Which again, is what California?especially southern California?is all about.

Oh yeah, the food. I guess that?s why you?re reading this. I figure for my first time I HAD to try their pizza and it was pretty good. I had the Sicilian. I?m used to more of a thicker crust so that was the only thing I was disappointed with. But the portion of food for the price was great. My friend and I had two pizza?s and bread for only $24, not counting the tip. I only ate ? my pizza since I was at lunch and didn?t want to go back to the office with the dreaded lunch-coma. Perhaps the cost might be more for dinner-time. Even said, I still found the price to be reasonable.

I can tell this organization has some kind of sense of humor as I went there on Oct 31 and some of their employees were dressed up in their Halloween costume.

The restaurant itself wasn?t as big as I?d expected but they have a pretty good sized bar that looks like a cool place to hang out, especially if you like the color yellow.  View Less
