Bridgeport's store manager (KRIS) ruined my opinion of Lucy and lost the store a loyal customer. I'd been a Lucy fanatic since I first found out about the store in 2008. I've always been impressed with the quality, fit, and customer service. Since I also teach yoga, I was happy to be part of their LucyPRO program and sport their clothes. However, after visiting the Bridgeport location and dealing with the interim manager, Kris, I WILL NEVER SHOP LUCY AGAIN. She was so incredibly rude to me when I tried to make a return without a receipt that I walked out. I realize stores have policies, but also know that managers can bend those policies within reason. The shirt I'd purchased had gone down in price by $7 since I'd bought it two weeks prior, and I knew exactly what I'd paid for it. So, I asked her if she could look up my purchase in their system, and she told me that I wasn't at Nordstrom and would only give me the current sale price (instead of what I'd paid) in store credit, since she was just following her gut about me. Hmmmm... I guess she thought I was lying in order to scam Lucy out of $7 worth of store credit?!?! Not the way I like to be treated as a loyal customer. Glad I was able to find my receipt, get my money back, and now I don't have to give them my business ever again. It's unfortunate that one lousy employee was able to change my opinion of an otherwise fantastic store, and I hope they fire Kris. Anyone who treats customers that poorly shouldn't be working retail, and certainly shouldn't be in management.
Great selection, too pricey. If you love comfortable, durable activewear this is the place to go. I wish the prices were lower or they had more sales. They are expensive enough to make you question your purchase. I suggest you check in regularly and look at the sales, you may see what you want on the right day at the right price.
