Try Indigo's Pestemals. Need some color therapy? Stand among the stacks of richly hued Turkish bath towels (Pestemals) at Indigo Bath and soak in the beauty. That’s exactly what I did and then bought a stack of them. They have brightened up my bath, kitchen and even my daughter’s nursery. I also recommend the African olive oil soaps, which smell so good and make your skin feel really soft.

Just across the street from Indigo Bath is Indigo Traders. They have the most beautiful hand-embroidered pillows, as well as many other hand-crafted textiles from the Mediterranean. It’s a real treat to find such unique, artfully created items from countries like Syria, Jordan, Turkey, and Morocco right in my own backyard.

Thank you, Indigo Traders, for bringing such lovely items to Portland.

Towels Everywhere!. When was the last time you went shopping and the owner made you coffee and talked to you in detail about his products, where they were made, how they were made, what makes them special? This is my experience every time I visit Indigo Traders (or Indigo Bath across the street).

The towels are incredible, try one. The olive oil is the best I've ever had, better than any I tried while in Italy. The shawls are so colorful and beautiful I just want to buy them all, wrap myself in them, and be happy and warm forever.

Try this place. Go ahead.

Awesome shop for every gift idea!. Super friendly service, great atmosphere, and they even serve you turkish coffee or mint tea while you shop. Great traditionally made textiles and ceramic from all around the Mediterranean. Their turkish towels are awesome and Eco-friendly!
