Decent thai food-my chicken in my Pad
Kee Mao was cooked perfectly and there was enough to take home for a second meal. The decor is pretty lame, but staff nice and attentive, so I'll come back.

A very underappreciated neighborhood
Thai restaurant. Fair prices, very good food. If "Mango Madness" is available as a special (as it often is), go for it! One dish to avoid: their pad thai is only OK. Everything else is much better. We've had better meals here at dinner time than lunch, though that may be a coincidence. This place should be full of people. (No problems with the service.)

Fabulous thai food.
I just moved to this neighborhood and this is now my favorite Thai restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the pineapple fried rice is simply amazing. It is one of my favorite things to eat now. It has pineapple, shrimp, chicken, egg, cashews, raisins and is simply divine. I thought the portions were very large. I'm a small eater and also on weight watchers, I was able to get three meals out of the pineapple rice. I have also tried the chicken noodles and they are tasty. My dining companion's curries have received ecstatic reviews as well. Don't miss this place.

Great Thai and excellent service.
My husband and I are not in a rut, but more a comfortable groove with this restaurant. The service is always excellent. Our biggest issue is trying to decide what new to try without missing all our favorites: Panang curry, Pumpkin curry, Basil eggplant, Cashew chicken--everything we've had is wonderful.

Tasty!.
I like this place a lot, I've gone a few times, the food is always delicious. I really like their curries. I've also tried their BBQ chicken which was cooked perfectly, the meat was so tender and juicy. But yes, the curries keep me coming back for more. For the quality of the food the prices are pretty good.

Salad Rolls, Massuman Curry, and Hawaiian Fried Rice.... need I say more?.
I would have to disagree with simplemind, My girlfriend and I love this place. Service has always been fine. For food we get an appetizer, Thai ice teas, and two entrees to share and its the perfect amount of food for a reasonable price. We've only been going for a short while, but we have made many return visits just for the love of the place. The decor is decent, no dirty feel or anything, and the place deffinatly looks better on the inside that the outside. I've have eaten at a lot of Thai places, this one is among one of my fav's for sure.

Tried it twice, never again.
The first time we went to have dinner here, the service was slow due to the waitress speaking on the phone with her friends. Food was OK, we were hungry.
The second time we ordered two dishes to share among two of us. The curry had little flavor and the pineapple stir-fry was cold when it got to our table (strange as there were only two tables being served including us). The portions were very small, we felt we were eating from the lunch menu. So, if you don't mind eating mainly rice with no flavor curry, I strongly recommend you visit Thai Spoon.
The prices do not match the portion size for dinner service.
Find elsewhere to go.

Consistent Thai near work.
Good Thai food that is at a reasonable price- I work near OMSI where there are very few restaurants, so Thai Spoon is a regular for me!

delicious...but bring a sweater.
The Thai Spoon is a neighborhhod restaurant with great food! I have the same meal everytime we go: shrimp toast, thai barbecue chicken and the sticky rice with green tea ice cream. The pineapple fried rice is also excellent. The servings are generous for the price. Love being right on Hawthorne. My one issue is the temperature; it can be chilly in the summer and down right cold in the winter.

very good thai great price!.
I love thai spoon! The dining room can be a bit chilly but the food is great! Try the mussaman curry! The veggies are fresh and not overcooked, their presentation is beautiful and it is fast and delicious! Great for takeout and never a wait!
