Too much marketing to children. Our granddaughter is LOVING art classes at Young Art and we are thrilled. On the other hand the sales staff crosses a boundary, in my opinion, in trying to sell products to parents using kids as conduit.
Awesome Children's Art Store.
My children love this store! I can't say enough about the great products, the cheerful sales staff, and impressive art classes. When we first arrived, our family was greeted respectfully by two young ladies who then proceeded to answer all our questions about art lessons, taking time to demonstrate the Young Art line of oil pastels and watercolors. They were really sweet, letting my toddlers try the washable paints and helping them create a really nice picture in the art demo area while I shopped.
I found a great line of wall art appliques for my girls' room- they are into horses and princesses- a set of Wild Horses and Princess readhesive wall stickers to decorate their room. Their prices were very reasonable and the store holds special sales. The day we went there, the sparkly hair accessories were on a sale, and each of my daughters left with a free sketchbook to go along with the erasable water-based crayons I bought.
My children had such a ball at Young Art, and they were so catered to. I have never been served so well in any other store, and my kids keep talking about their fun time painting and drawing. At the checkout counter, the clerk presented me with a special gift certificate for my next purchase, and handed each of my children a little coloring book to take home as a gift.
If you are ever at the park in downtown Vancouver, make sure you go across the street to check out this kids store. I took one of their Birthday party Brochures home to look through. My daughter's birthday is in May, and I am planning to schedule one of their Perfect Princess Parties. I read that it includes everything: the private art lesson party, invitations, party favors, a shopping spree, and even the option of a limousine ride.
I am going to use the next trip to Young Art as an incentive to reward the children for good behavior. So glad I found this place. Young Art is a great resource I hope lots of Vancouver/Portland families discover.
A must for all kids!.
I have never seen an art experience for kids quite like this. My kids come out from the lessons, with compositions I couldn't even do! The colors are vibrant and impressive. We have spent worthwhile dollars to give my son and daughter an art education better than any other extracurricular activities.
I love their sales staff. They are well-informed, respectful, and efficient. You have to see it for yourself.
